New Fender Dimension Bass

I played the cheaper Chinese version today. It was a 4 string single pickup.

It was 'okay' but I wont go into much detail since I didnt plug it in. I mostly judge basses before I plug them in.

The fit and finish is consistant with the chinese production; so on par with Classic Vibe Squiers. This version had a jazz size neck which felt just like a classic vibe neck.

The body was relatively light weight and decently resonate but nothing to write home about. I am not a fan of transparent black.

Its nothing I will be buying but there was nothing WRONG with it.

Just put my order in today ...Fender D 4 HH in Red $1699 im off,n my Stingray the same way i off,d my Sterling Classic.Gave Musicman an honest shot i just dont like them they sound Great in my garage but that sound gets lost on stage. One of our TB pals say the D has the Jazz and P Bass sounds covered and more thats good enough for me.I LOVE My Fender Jazz soooo much.

I think its the most exciting thing FMIC has done since Roscoe Beck basses and Deluxe P5s!

Me too. I still say if Fender got the elecs right on these Dimensions, they will have come up with an enhanced replacement for the Rosco Beck. Which would really be something, as the RB was clearly one of Fender's best offerings. Ever.
