New Ibanez (headless, multiscale)

Aren't the Nordstrands a slightly different shape than the BH2?

as long as the BH2s in the 1005 are a "standard" Bartolini shape, there is a good chance Nordstrand can make a Big Split fit.

I got a Big Blade Man in one of my basses thats supposed to be MM shaped but I ordered it to be something like like an EMG45 if I remember.

Bottom line, when you buy from Nordy, you get certain options, some may be free but others are like a $10 fee to do a diff shape.

My experience with the Nordy big splits is that they're bright as can be. I still have factory strings on my ESP B1005MS and I definitely don't feel the need to change them - it sat in a shop for 2 years before I picked it up as my main player 2 years ago! Not sure if Ibanez or ESP have any customizations on their pickup sets though.

How do the Big Splits compare to the Big Singles? I'm familiar with (and like) the Singles from my two Premium SRs, but I don't have any experience with the Splits.

The multiscale and normal havve tonal differenxìces? Because the PU are Parallel or inclinated

Not sure how much of a difference there may be... seeing as the the pickups on the multiscale are angled to match the relative string length to hypothetically be under roughly the same ratio'd position.

I wouldn't be surprised if there is some difference but the angling should probably mitigate it a good bit.

Big Splits are throaty and meaty and have that "P Bass" sound. Big Singles are, not unpredictably, more of a "J Bass" sound. Both are outstanding, however.

I have a set of Big Singles in one of my basses and Big Splits in another one.

I'd have assumed less than 8 lbs. But considering how the Strandberg Boden Prog 5 is about 6.5 lbs., and it's got a big chunk of the body missing in its overall shape, it kinda makes sense the Ibanez would heavier than that.
Sorry I had a wrong number when kg-lbs
1005ms is 3.5kg on my both room scale
I can feel the weight difference between 1005ms and 1505ms when lifting them togather.
1505ms is slightly heavier but overall still very light as a 5strings
