New Ibanez (headless, multiscale)

View attachment 3780565

Is it just a visual illusion or are the the individual bridge pieces installed so that the thicker strings are slightly longer? Or is that just me being confused?
I see what you mean and they probably are slightly further back. It always seems I need to set intoatatio further back on lower strings so it kinda makes sense to me...

Looks like he might have had early access to one though, same as the first instagram clip we saw.

Looks like he got it at NAMM which is, presumably, the same bass the other Instagram guy had before the show. I'm pretty sure that's the only sightings of the 6 string we've seen, doesn't look like that model was ever made available to anyone publishing demos.

Thanks all
I think i got lucky, maybe it was a cancelled order, but it was the first i'd seen available as 'in stock' worldwide.

has to be said as other owners have noticed it's a bit rough around the edges, the matt paint is thin
and it has 'the rattle'.
That doesn't sound good. Can you elaborate on what's "rough around the edges" and "the rattle"?

Yeah... please elaborate more on those. Thank God I don't have any complaint on my EHB.
The only thing I found was a bit rough sanding on The truss rod cut out.

Tried a set of dcb on a friend's 1005ms and did the a/b testing (passive) with my 1005ms.
Conclusion is ...i am getting mine ..but keep looking for a set of Bart dual coil for experiment.

About the the dcb, thats a day and night different on tonal character but Not saying dcb is a better option. It's more what I need.

DCB:
-Focus, details, solid, meaty, refine, sweet high, presence mid
Make me understand why so many fodera artist have dcb in their bass

BH2
-in your face, huuuge bottom, nice low end, good sound for slapping
Good for rock!

Did The DCB pickup fit The EHB well?

Probably mine too on that particular spot, but that wouldn't bother me. I would consider rough edges as a problem when I got a bass/guitar with sharp fretwire edges.

Do you have a link to the dcb-pickups?
I have no clue when it comes to soapbars.
For the 1005MS pickup replacements, search for any brands with Bartolini P4 size soapbar pickups or equivalent to Aguilar D4 size pickups.
