New Ibanez (headless, multiscale)

Just a few days away, allegedly. Lol

I think I'm going to do a follow up video after 1 month with my EHB1005MS. It's the only bass that sits by my desk. I pick it up whenever I want to noodle around or record something because it's just so easy and rewarding to play. Will definitely have some longer playing clips in there vs. my reviews too, maybe with some effects as well :).

I'm not jealous, nuh uh. :crying:

Despite the fact that it's a big sum of cash I'm somehow still excited for mine to show up!

Here's my latest video taking a closer look at my EHB1005MS and my opinions after a month of ownership. Enjoy!

Really great video and playing. I enjoy your channel :bassist:

I really agree with a lot of the points you make, especially about the key difference between the 1005/1505MS coming down to the pickups.

When I went to the shop on “launch day” here and compared the two side by side, I really made my decision based on the sound of the pickups and ever so slightly the weight of the body wood.

At no point did the top wood, basswood vs. mahogany or maple vs. panga panga factor in. I generally prefer maple, too and really like the sea foam green finish.

If Ibanez made an in between, say, 1205MS that was the same as the 1005MS but with the Nordstrand pickups, I would probably trade in my 1505MS.
