After waiting a couple years after moving in, I finally starting building out my band room this year.

(This is after building out my workshop, as seen here - D&R's build thread)

Today, after a few days of work spread out over a month or two, I think I'm ready to call it done. Here's what it looks like -

First shelves I put up -

...and what they look like all filled up -

And the other side of the room, with the PA mixer/amp and other speaker, drums, and the bass/guitar/case stand -

Another view of the back of the room -

AND bass family. This is talkbass after all...

Very glad to have done with this. Hopefully it'll better accommodate prospective band mates...

Thank you! Also you're one of the most consistently positive folks in these forums and I really appreciate that - so thank you for that as well.
 thanks, but you gotta know that i've been in more than a few brawls up in here! ;)

fact is: i so enjoy creating stuff, myself, that i really appreciate when others do the same --- i'm a big supporter of folks taking creative chances...whatever the 'venue'!

that Fibes kit looks hot too!!

nice work with the jam space.
how does it sound in there?
Overall not bad. It's not too big (like 10' x 20') and there's normal fiberglass insulation behind the walls so it's not too boomy or reverby. Definitely good enough for rehearsal. And I can always throw up all those cargo blankets if I want it to be more suitable for demo recording.

Having a dedicated space is awesome, you have some great storage ideas there. I've been thinking of changing mine up a little but I'm not in a rush. Thanks for sharing.

I'd agree with you on this 100%, @JRA is a positive force on TB. Props to him.

Nice job, that looks great! I've been kicking around ideas on what to do with my guitar room, it's plenty functional, but just drab and bland. I like the plywood all around.
That was actually from our contractor in a misguided attempt at transmitting less sound outside (turns out drywall is actually better for that.) But it worked out since I could directly attach so much of the shelving to the walls without having to look for studs.

Second that sentiment!

And nice brand room. You wanna come build me some storage shelves?:woot:
I mean I don't really need an excuse to visit Portland, but I'll take one...

Looks GREAT! I'm just worried about the rubber toolbox liner reacting with the finishes.
I hadn't considered that. I hope that doesn't become an issue...o_Oo_Oo_O
