New Markbass combo versions

@PhatBasstard

Thanks for the input!

This is pretty much the setup I'm going to go with. I'm convinced. What I really like about the Markbass brand is they were built from the ground up to be what they are, which is a lightweight rig. They aren't just the lower-cost version of another brand's heavy, expensive stuff (i.e. Ampeg). Also, finding out Chris Wolstenholme is a MB user sealed the deal for me. I'm looking for upfront bass tone and that's about as in-your-face and beautiful sounding as it gets, albeit tons of his sound comes from effects.

The list of MarkBass endorsees is long and impressive. You're in good company.

re: Mute switch - Yes these are a good addition, very useful! This is why I put a mute switch on all my basses. So I can set it down between sets or takes and not have to change any settings to keep the output quiet. I also use a cable with the Neutrik Silent Plug so I can unplug without any noise or pops.

I liked what I heard from them about 10 years ago. Have probably owned or own 15 of their various amps. Haven't been disappointed or had a breakdown yet.
