I am a new member and want to be a part of this post with my first or second post, I think. How do I check my post #'s ? I just got a new amplifier combo and it's nice. I will probably have it for the rest of my life; if it doesn't break beyond repair that is...it's called a Ashdown ABMC210-500. WOW!!! I still am learning how to us it. It is a little differnt from my Carvin PB100-15 , which is a nice combo too, just not quite the same...

Hi.
My name is Paul and I'm addicted to bed linnens. It started when I was 3 with a wubby. When I was 5 my parents threw it out, but I got it out of the garbage and hid it in my closet. Later I moved on to designer sheets and pillow cases and finally electric blankets. I have been trying to cut back, but I have textile withdrawal. Bass therapy is the only releif I have found. That's what brought me here.

You don't even know what lousy gear is, lucky dog! Is your last name Rockefeller? ;)

Hi, my name is Jerry. I am a loser in the 9th grade, I enjoy listning to all types of music except for that corporate crap boy bands. Somehow people call it music. Oh yeah, near the end of the 80's when all the hair bands popped up, i dont like them much. I try everynow and then to play mu bass left handed but not sucessfully. I am in a 5-piece band right now (1 singer/guitarist, 1 guitarist, 1 drummer, 1 60%guitarist 40%bassist, and me 60% bassist, 40%guitarist.

THAT ME!

Hi...my name is Eric. I have been playing bass off and on for several years. I still suck though because I have not made it a priority (yet). I am alright with that though because it is a hobby and I don't have to be great to have fun when I want. I also like to build basses. I have built two so far. The first one sucked. The last one is pretty cool. Someday, I will post a pic of it.

Welcome to the jungle, spector5 slapper.

Not to be anal, but if any of you newer guys plan on partcipating in the future, would you PLEASE fill out your profiles???

When you ask a question or have a problem, it really gets you better quality input. For instance, if you put up a thread about getting a hum, if we see you have a Fender Jazz, a G&L, or whatever, the causes fo the problem will usually be different, depending on the bass.

If you put up one that says, "My amp isn't loud enough for my band. Which amps should I consider buying?" Well, if you don't have anything in your profile, we don't have any frame of reference for what "loud enough" is.

Hi there folks, I'm Niall (as in the river dontyaknow)I've been playing on and off for about 10 years (but I'm getting a little better now). Oh yeah, I started out playing the trumpet first as well (not to blow my own horn or anything) its kinda weird that most trumpet players tend to go on to play bass rather than guitar or drums for some reason.

(I can see through time....)

Funnily enough, after seeing what sort of posts our Fieldyphile friend has made today, and the rate at which they've been deleted, I get the feeling that we won't all be benefitting from his knowledge...

HI im Joe i always wanted to be a Gu*tarist when i was little so i could make it smoke like Ace's, Then one day while watching MTV i saw this little guy, Named Steve Harris playin fast and his fingers were flyin and i said thats for me, 15 years later i bought a bass and havent put it down since, Plus I bought three more and my Wife still loves me.

Hi. My name is Andrew and I used to play gu*tar, but never really liked it, so I switched to bass and haven't ever regretted it. Someday I hope to be just like Fieldy_Rulez because he is such a cool guy with so many brilliant things to say.
