New mesa subway amps and cabs!

This example is why we no longer offer 4 ohm single driver cabinets, 800 watts (RMS) mechanical power handling in a single 10, 12, or 15" driver suitable for bass guitar isn't going to happen.

Hello all,
Read through the first 76 pages of this thread! I will fight my way through the other 83 pages over the weekend. Special thank you for all the insight, background, development and knowledge to @agedhorse , @Al Kraft , and @nostatic .
There are pieces of gear and instruments that make a name for themselves and become iconic as industry standards and I think this WD800 that arrived at my doorstep a few weeks ago is a perfect example.
DAMN, this friggen head is phenomenal!

Just to follow up: played this past Saturday at a local brewpub using the WD-800 as a DI and it was great! Here's a shot of the PA support. The WD-800 is sitting on top of a vintage Energy 215; but, I didn't play through that for the gig. One of my bandmates inherited that cab from his aunt and was curious to hear it at volume so we messed around with it a bit during soundcheck. In any event, the experiment was a success, so more WD-800 DI + IEM gigs for me!

They are Daedalus Audio Pro gear. A local craftsman is the builder and a fan, and he generously lends them to us for our gigs. They are amazing cabinets. When we've used them in the past, I would walk out into the sweet spot (I use a wireless set up) and just soak it all in.

EDIT: the black subs belong to the venue- they are not Daedalus

I have an elf in my gig bag. It’s my backup. That being said, it’s a great sounding little head. It’ll push my 810 cab all night long and sound huge. But, I can’t quite bring myself to use it as my main head when I have so many other great sounding classic tube amps. I also have a MESA WD-800 too, also a great head in a small package, but I kinda like the tone of the elf a little more.

I’m assuming that’s a fireplace and I am thinking that is what I should do. I’ll set my cab right front of the fireplace and pipe it out to the whole neighborhood :D:roflmao::smug:

I actually dialed my WD800 through my hd210s tonight to sound like my elf stack.
Now that I think of it, I wish I would’ve scribbled the settings into my Mesa manual to refer back to later.

The WD is a very versatile machine when it comes to dialing in just about any voicing you have in your head...however, I have to admit that the TE Elf is a new one for me. I would have thought most Elf owners were trying to cop a WD tone! :)

I like variety. My equipment list probably shows that:).
I really wish I recorded the settings so I could pas them on. Part of it is the settings and combine that with the voicing of the HD210 compared to the elf 2x8.
