I don't mean to sound ignorant - keep in mind I love the look of the new subway amp.
Can someone tell me what the differences are between it and the Subway 800+?

I like the way they made "HEADPHONES" two words!
These cabs look amazing. Not trying to steal the thunder from Mess, but I really wish Orange would get on board with these super cabs that are lightweight. I'd killer for a lightweight 2x12 or 2x15 to match an orange head.
Oh wow. The WD800 looks like something I'd really like but damn I wish the overdrive could be sent to DI in Pre EQ mode. I'm sure there's a very good reason but I haven't thought it through just yet.
For those thinking they are getting something less with their D800/D800+, you're not. You're getting something different with the WD-800. I've used the Walkabout in the past and it's not really my sound. Great amp, but not me, which is why I own the D800. I'm glad to see the Subway series expanding!

At first glance it looks like a D800+ that you could take out on tour and not worry about it.
It also looks like you can get some nice overdriven sounds out of the preamp.

Really nice design, I'm sure that it will sell well. Not meant for me - too many eq knobs for an old fart like me - but looks to be extremely well designed. Nice job AgedHorse and crew!

Probably not, the sensitivity and power matching between the 115 and 410 wouldn't be all that great.
PS... the only thing missing from the WD-800 is jewel power light

In the PRE EQ mode, the DI functions exactly like an active DI. Because the gain and overdrive occur within and after the input gain control, if the pre eq signal takeoff was after this point, the level would change with the input gain control.
So yes, it was done this way for a specific reason.

It is an evolution firmly based on the Walkabout platform. It gets pretty close, but just as important it expands the pallet to places where the original WA could not go, and at clean levels that are impossible with the WA.
Fingers crossed on 'pretty close' - sold my Walkabout to get a D800 that I just couldn't bond with. Pre-order placed...
