New mesa subway amps and cabs!

I've never played or owned a Walkabout.

How do the existing D-800/+ heads compare? I really like my D-800, but how is the new one different sound-wise?

New cabs look sweet though! I'm happy with my existing 1x12+1x15 setup for the time being, but should I ever sell off my GK rig for whatever reason I've got my eye on replacements already ;)
I am exactly where you are with the GK 1x15 and 1x12....happy with sound, but damn don't these thing tug at the wallet?

Addressing a few points:

These new products look AMAZING.

Unlike its namesake, don't use this head for water displacement. Bonus points for those who already knew that's what the WD in WD-40 stands for.

And finally, Hartley's customers aren't the same as Mesa's customers. Don't get me wrong, I likely have more Peavey gear than most ppl on talkbass. I'm just saying that I think HP was right in saying that HIS CUSTOMERS shop price first.

It would be easier to sell if the guy playing in the demo was able to get a single usable tone out of it.
I agree about the tones in the demo. Nothing about that did a thing for me. But, I think like 99% of demo videos sound really horrible, so you have to take them with a grain of salt. Or like a whole salt shaker.
@kringle77 did some video's of the Arkham Zephyr pre, and they were done really, really well. Made me want to buy a Zephyr.

Congrats to @agedhorse - the hardest working man in the bass gear industry. Your willingness to listen, synthesize all that feedback, educate, share, and put out great products is above and beyond. You are a model for how to do it, sir.

I really look forward to trying some of this gear out in person. Can't wait to read the manual for the WD800!

REALY interested in the Damping control. I guess this would change the overall feel of the amp from tight to loose?
