I have a question for you re: Warmoth's "DIY Paint Ready" option: Have you applied your own clear finish on the body, or did you just use it as-is? How does it look and feel?

I never did anything to it. I just put it together and played it! I feels nice though smooth, satin and durable.

Hello folks. This is my new partscaster p bass. Here we have a Warmoth DIY-Ready P bass body, American Original 60s P bass Neck, Aguilar Pickups, Emerson Tone Control, Tortosie Shell Pickgaurd, and Thomastik Flats! She weighs in at 6.8 Pounds and sounds great. This is modeled after a mix of various famous bass player's stripped 60s p basses. In particular….Jerry Scheff's!

I love it, man! Those cream dots really set it apart from the rest. The tort guard is nice and dark to contrast the swamp ash grains. Hope you love playing it! I love my P bass!

I was able to remove the branding from an EMG pickup using finger nail polish remover (acetone).

It takes a tough plastic to stand up to acetone - that stuff melts most plastics.

Knock out bass, beautiful fit and finish, perfect basic pickup type and location, minimalist functionality with no added frills or weight. The most needed bass tone and most successful type since 1951. My 2014 vintage MIJ P-bass is a clone of yours except for its white PG and Seymour Duncan pickups. But now I'm liking black pick guards on sleek shiny blonde Fenders. I'd have never tried $70+ TI Jazz flats except they came with the bass. But no other strings are easier to play yet have highs that other flats don't give and yet still hide my bad finger scrapes. And last for epochs? Hopefully.
Mine is the lightest bass I've played and that's necessary with old age. And yes, matching headstock! Like playing a work of art. Congrats. Super bass.
