I am curious as to the street price for this new combo and whether it would be loud enough for a rock band rehearsal (probably not, since I tried the Double Four BG-75 and as nice as it sounds, it simply was not loud enough).
My initial reaction to the M-7 is a little underwhelming. The MICRO 7 (M-7) is larger than the Double Four (BG-75) and the Bass Cub (BG-10), so the claim that the MICRO 7 is the “most compact combo from PJB yet” does not appear at first glance to be accurate. It is also heavier than either the Bass Cub or the Double Four and puts out less wattage. Perhaps the speakers make up for it, but we would have to hear it first. See the table I created below:
