Decided to change the pickguard on my Sterling Stingray from white to clear. Looks so much better now that you can see that flame maple!

It’s not tort, so your tone won’t be improved much but it definitely looks cool! 
That looks MUCH better, AND better than the TB standard tort too. IMHO of course....
Love it. And so many classic MusicMan basses have clear guards.

You know, I don't dislike how it looked with the white pickguard but with the clear it's just flat out better. Looks hawt and and more cool at the same time, in defiance of physics 
Clear guards on Stingrays make me smile. Congrats, it looks so much better now. 
Great move with the clear guard! I did the same with my colour shifting 'Ray which you can see in my display pic on the left. It originally came with a black pg.

Got this one with the PG long gone, never felt compelled to replace it.
Pretty sure the guy who bought it new took it off first thing. (I am the 3rd owner)

Screws. I took the white guard off my Stingray many years ago, similar colour to the OP, and put chrome dome headed screws back in the holes.
