I do have this "what about an OLIV G..." voice in my head. Not that there is anything wrong with the Perp G, but I just can't leave well enough alone. I had a used OLIV G (OG?) years ago that I really liked, but always worried that it was going to unravel on a gig and I think I was unhappy enough with strings overall that I decided that it just wasn't worth it. The fact that I'm thinking about it at all is a sign that this is a good string set.
But, not doing anything about it at the moment. I've also thought about getting my bass, with the full set of Perps onto a bench somewhere to dial in my setup around the perfectly. All things considered equal, @Jake deVilliers is my luthier of choice by a huge margin, but I heard the boarder crossing is much worse that it used to be, so I'm just going to play on.
