New Primus Tour!

Yeah, I think I'll enjoy the Frizzle Fry album performance more so than the seas of cheese performance. I saw primus in Norfolk for the Tour De Fromage tour and will probably drive up to Philly for this tour. It seems like a lot of venues this tour are outdoor venues, including philly.. That rocks :bassist:

awe, I got the newsletter but didnt read it, they should have posted it on the website. THAT ALBUM ROCKS!!! This is cool, finally get to hear harold of the rocks live. So many good songs on that album+trippy jamming=great night!

Well on tour de fromage, they had 3 sets. A miscellaneous first set where they'd play 8 songs or so from misc albums. The second set consisted of the seas of cheese album straight through and the third set was a miscellaneous song for an encore. I assume it'll be a similiar format on this tour, we'll see :)

I dig Frizzle Fry, it's probably my favorite, but c'mon. Mix it up.

WR: Did you catch the Tour De Fromage? If so, you'd realize the jam band thing is official. I mean, each song was extended by at least 3 minutes, ranging to about 12... it was cool.

I never thought I'd say this as a bassist, but... I wish the guitarist would have soloed more. :eek: Ha, I like Ler, Claypool was hogging the soloage IMO.

Regardless, I'm probably going to check out the Columbus, OH one. :bassist:

At the show i went to (Santa Cruz, 10/29/04) the baracade broke, and the longest song that they did was Groundhog's Day, and with the jam it was like 17:04 or something, sooooooooo insane man. they are more incredible than any other show i have ever seen.

Yeah, I caught the boston show, it was good, a little bit boomy and hard to hear, but it was still fun.

Where were you at in the arena? If the sound sucks, I try to stand behind the sound guy, or at least near him. If the sound sucks when you are standing there, I assume that he's deaf.

When I saw them in Clevland, the vocals were pretty tinny and hollow, I could barely hear Claypool's vocals. The music sounded great though. They got a bunch of feedback during The Carpenter and the Dainty Bride, afterward's Claypool apologized and said, "That's not the usual horrible sound we like to project from the stage"

I saw them in Toronto for the tour de fromage, I can't wait to see them again. I can't believe they are playing Frizzle Fry, I absolutely love that album. But I just check out the venue for it, its a place where they have plays and stuff with theatre like chairs so I don't know how its going to be there.
