My 802 is dead quiet, and sounds fantastic on its' own, although I like using an outboard HPF and compressor (Diamond Bass Comp Jr or JHS Pulp 'n' Peel in front of it. I just ordered a Bass Dock 110 after Pat Quilter confirmed to me via email that its' 110 driver is not a standard offering, but one that has a longer x-max/throw and can truly handle much more power (without compression) than a standard 110. I asked him the question because no standard 110 can transduce anywhere near the 400 watt rating of this cab (most start to compress around 100 watts or less). This cab should be considerably louder and tuned lower than a "normal" 110....... it's supposedly voiced pretty low/ vintage (as compared to the Bassliner cabs, which I believe are sealed). I almost didn't order it because it doesn't have a speakon connector.....if true, this is a puzzling fail in 2021, but I'll accept this wart if it sounds and performs as I am expecting/hoping.......
