FYI, I received an e-mail from Bill (at Reeves) this morning stating that the 1x15 cabs should become available to the public in about 40 days (around the end of August).

New Reeves Cabs Pics (Prototype)

Very interesting stuff.
My old school rig is a V4BH with an OBC115 and for me tubes+115 is a winning combo!
If this Reeves cab sounds better than my Orange I'll be hard pressed not to buy one.
Anybody know approx how much they'll go for?

I spoke with Bill (at Reeves) on the phone last Fri Jul 17 and he said he does not have a price yet for the 1x15 cab. I'm sure he will be coming up with one soon since, according to Bill, the cabs will become available around the end of August.
) of the first run are already spoken for, but there should be some retail availablity before the end of August.
Thanks edbass. That is consistent with what Bill told me via e-mail yesterday....that the cabs are 2 to 3 weeks out and he is still working out the pricing.
FFTT: I have already broken open my piggy bank to see just how many ducketts I have, as I plan to buy a pair of the 1x15 cabs.
I received delivery of my new Custom 225 head yesterday. What a beauty! Too bad I don't have any cabs to play it through (I sold my pair of 1x15 Bergie cabs a couple of months ago to help pay for a new Reeves amp). I guess I will just have to wait until the Reeves 1x15 cabs arrive. It's worth the wait. But sitting here staring at the Custom 225 and not being able to play through it is like being given a new Enzo Ferrari and being told that I can't drive it yet!

Ducats is indeed correct! And I wish I had a few of the 16th century versions!
According to the Urban Dictionary, the term "ducketts" is a slang term for the more correct term ducats.
Actually, I prefer the terms Steve Martin uses......donuts....dollarinies....big ones.
Bill at Reeves contacted me today to inform me that as of today, Aug 13, he can start shipping his new 1x15 bass cabs.
I placed my order today for a pair of them, and according to Bill, the cabs should arrive on my doorstep next Thurs Aug 20.

I just picked up one of these from Bill today. I live close, so I just threw it in my car. I am still breaking it in as Bill recommended, so no reviews yet. Soon... Bill is a super nice guy to deal with. I even got a Reeves t-shirt! Woo-hoo!

Also, what exactly did Bill say regarding break in? Anything in particular? Or just play through it for a while and then evaluate the sound?
He told me to play just regular music through it, like your ITunes library for awhile. I played music through mine all night and will evaluate the cab later. I have church to go to here pretty soon.

Okay, let me give you a short review and a picture or two. First, let me say that I have flirted with buying Reeves stuff for years but never pulled the trigger. I had been reading this thread with interest and decided to get one of these when NysBob said they were as good or better than his JBL's. I have heard Bob play many times and love his tone. Also, I had sold my Bag End 15' a while back and was missing that range in my sound. So, on to the review. The cabinet is 17" x 24" x 24". I don't know what it weighs, but would say close to 60 pounds. One gets an amazingly clear, balanced tone playing through this. For reference, I was playing through my Marshall SLP 100, it is jumped. I never dimed the amp, but turned it up at least to 6 or 7. Stuff was dropping and shaking all over the room. I don't have lots of experience with various cabinets. I have always been a Bag End man. This cabinet has changed my mind. I tried the cabinet with active and passive basses, flats and rounds. It was not easy to get it to distort. All in all it is a great sounding cabinet and not a bit muddy in the lows. Mids are nice and clear and not humpy or anything.. I don't have the specs, but it is an 8 ohmer. It sports a 1/4 inch jack, no speakon connector. It's a bit heavy and a bit pricey. Worth every penny of it in my opinion. The sound is exemplary. Bill told me he still has a couple available from this first run. Someone here should jump on them. I don't work for or am associated with Reeves. I do live in the same town as their shop though...Woo hoo!! Thanks to Bob N. and others for writing about this. I am very happy with this cabinet.

Thanks NFA for posting your comments and your pics! I can hardly wait to receive the pair of cabs I ordered (they should arrive this Thursday). I will be playing my new Reeves Custom 225 through these cabs.

Yes, the same as the ones in the prototype pictures. You are going to love them. Wow, you may have the perfect rock rig. Nicely done man!
No speakons is crazy. I guess it suits their own amp, but that's a pretty unorthodox move in the cabinet market -- especially for those many of use with speakon-only speaker outputs.
