New Sadowsky Preamp/DI?

New? You mean the pedal DI/preamp that's been out for a few years now? I had one last summer, great for passive basses. Not really needed if you already have a good preamp in an active bass, IMO.
if you're talking about his all tube preamp idea, that's been scrapped for all i know. yet, he's still in development on an all tube head.
there was talk of a clean boost pedal version of his onboard guitar preamp that Frank was working on, but no word on that with Frank's leaving of the shop.

IIRC, it's a as Yamarc stated in the above post. It's a 2 channel preamp. One channel is a 2 band (sam as in the current Preamp/DI and in the basses) and the other is a 3 band premap. It'll have a DI out, and it'll also be an A/B box as well.

I was thinking about getting an outboard but i might wait. i switch basses a bit and this would be very practical!

I checked that out when first came out, looked really cool but i didn't like the sound so much, but i have changed basses and i want to change amps so i will check it out again.
I also want to try the radial tonebone too... looks cool. I have an ultra vintage sadowsky metro on order and when it comes i want to use that and a p bass for gigs. i'm thinkin i'll definetly need something,

The design of our new pre is basically finished and we are currently building a few beta units to send to some of our best clients for evaluation and feedback before we go into production. I think the reality here is that it will be at least 9 months before we have a product to show. I really do not want to speculate on features on the forum but it will be a 2 channel foot pedal style preamp.

This product sounds like it might be really great for those of us who gig with multiple instruments. I'll keep my eyes out for the forthcoming availability of this product (and the all-tube head, of course!).

Saying 'it was not that great' doesn't tell anyone much, what specifically didn't you like? I had one and really liked it, it was a very versatile preamp/di/practice tool.BigMikeW said:
