New Schecter Short-Scale Banshee bass

Ah..they've moved them to the Retro page. I've got two shops near me who stock lots of Schecters (one is a GC, the other locally owned), they are both big Schecter dealers, yet they never had the Banshee in stock.
I had to check a bunch of different online sellers to buy mine. Most only got one each, and I wanted a carbon grey one.

Noticing quite the price hike here in Europe. Cheapest Banshee Bass I could find online was 1139 euro. That puts it in a range where you can get a JMJ Mustang or a Fender American Performer Mustang Bass for a couple of bucks more. I'd still like one, but not at a 400 euro premium.
Not sure what/where you are looking, but GuitarGuitar in the U.K. has 2 carbon grays in stock. £759.00, so nowhere near 1 139 €.

Buy the Schecter Banshee Bass Carbon Grey

Has anyone had problems with shielding on their banshee? I have one that has a hum that goes away when I touch any metal. It’s minimal and it’s possible I could live with the hum. the part that is annoying is that it goes away so I hear it in between notes sometimes.

Received my Carbon grey Banshee today. The super loud hum is my only complaint. Was hoping to see what others have done before I tear into it.

I THINK(?) that a shielding problem is more noticeable when you turn, pointing the neck north/south then east/west vs. a grounding problem that disappears when touching a metal part on the guitar. 1. check with a different cable 2. check with a different amp 3. check the connector input in the bass itself.

Good luck!
