NEW Squier 50s LPB Single Coil Precision

Ok, got to check out the sonic blue P....

That LPB bass is gorgeous. Ok, the pale neck isn't the best, but for the money I guess I could live with that. I've always preferred the single coil Ps too (but then as a Ric guy that should come as no great surprise).

It's probably not released yet.
Thanks, Bill – you're probably right. I just checked musiciansfriend.com, and they don't even have a listing for it.

I have to admit, I'm REALLY enthusiastic about this bass. I usually don't like Lake Placid Blue, but those pictures look a lot more like Ice Blue Metallic, a vintage Fender color I really like. Slap some ashtrays on her, and she'll be gorgeous.

I hope they come out soon so I can buy one. GAS!

Do you see any LPB Fender basses?

And I was referring to Squier in general... they even have CAR on their freakin' standard Strats...

this is another topic anyways...

No I don't, other than MIJ. But what you said was:

What annoys me is that Squier offers more color choices than Fender!!!

And each vintage modified or classic vibe is offered in only one colour. You can get a MIA Standard Fender in five or six different colours. They also did the trans orange thing a couple of years ago, and some other kind of blue back in the late 90s. I think maybe what annoys you is that you don't like any of those colours? I'll bet that the 2009 MIAs will have some new colours - this year was all about the new design and the return of classic colours - tort combinations with Oly white and 3TS and the ever standard black. Plus Pearl white and metallic grey. Next year, I'll bet the keep the same design and expand the palette.

I have an extra Fender 51 RI neck from 1996 that I am thinking of putting on the 50's LPB...I wonder if she'll work. When the LPB arrives, I'll fill you all in. I called Bass Emporium today, and they said they'd get some in by the weekend...we'll see, later, dy.
