biggest problem they have going against them is prejudice against the logo... it's the band wanted ads that say "must have professional gear" that means they would'nt be seen dead with a bassist with a Squier... even though Squier have seriously upped the game, they still have an uphill battle to break through that old prejudice...
Even I'm working my way up to getting a Fender (probably 51 P RI), but I'm seriously gassing for the 50's P...
I love my VMJ...

Also, in addition to high mass bridge also a synthetic bone nut!
The white neck finish without any yellowing is also a bit of a liability as it detracts from the "vintage vibe."
This Squier is nice but I'm also getting the 51 RI, got one reserved already.![]()
The great thing about the Squier is that you could pop in some electronics upgrades (like a Duncan antiquity maybe) and still be well under the cost of the Fender.Can you get a silent, or at least very quiet, replacement pickup for it?
And GAS has just tripled!

I'm sure the CNC machine in China cuts with the same settings as the CNC machine in California.![]()
