So tempted by that Cabronita. The PJ in LPB is a good option, too.
There's a lot from Fender/Squier's current "budget" lines (mostly VM and Modern Player) that I'd drop money on right now if it was an option.

TBH, I wasn't loving the sound of most of those vids except for the P5. That's ok though, they look nice and I was going to swap the pups anyway.
couldn't get this one to intonate properly with the stock bridge.....slapped on a gotoh and Bingo!
On mine, the intonation was spot on right out of the box and has stayed that way after three years.
Sounding pretty good to me! Though not as fat as the Fender American Standards...
Tbh I'm a noob so I was refering to the way it looks more because I haven't got a clue how any of these basses sound better or worse than each other lol
Mine was very close. The only time I had to readjust it was when I installed flatwounds.

The currently available 3TS and Nat models will be slightly updated (i'll edit and post the answer of the fender rep. for the details), and that's it.
I think I'll have to forget the CAR/Mapple neck/black pick combo (sexiest combo IMO) or go the 4x more expensive Sandberg route...

Well, as time goes on you will get a feeling for the type of sound that is "your" sound, as well as what Jazz and Precision tones you like.
The good news is that these are widely considered very well constructed and playable instruments, especially for the money.
So if you like the "looks", great - as time goes on, if for some reason you don't like the sound of the bass, you could always "mod" it, and change the pickups to more of your sound or something you like and have an even better instrument.
