Well, as time goes on you will get a feeling for the type of sound that is "your" sound, as well as what Jazz and Precision tones you like.
The good news is that these are widely considered very well constructed and playable instruments, especially for the money.
So if you like the "looks", great - as time goes on, if for some reason you don't like the sound of the bass, you could always "mod" it, and change the pickups to more of your sound or something you like and have an even better instrument.
use a green scrubber pad to knock the gloss off the neck. It works great. Your hand will eventually re-polish the neck, but you can just scrub it again later.
All the best,
Bob

DO IT
It would definitely be overindulgence on my part. Not often I see this many people jonesing at the same time. Seems I have a little time to decide until they are in stock anywhere.
They just got the Squier Cabronita P listed at Musician's Friend, thanks to our friend on TB LAST__C:

Isn't life funny? 8 years ago, nobody would've ever been this excited about a line of Squier Basses. Now people are actually drooling all over them!

Lol I remember I had an Affinity strat back in '99 when I was 15. It was terrible but now I'm getting back into music all I see is how awesome instruments built in Asia are. I think that's indicative of the general economic growth in countries such as China. They are serious industries and will only continue to grow and flourish. I say fair play to them... and of course the lower prices of these quality instruments benefits us too![]()
