I try to listen how Fender Cabronita sound like, here the youtube.

Fender Demo got more filter & postproccess with the demo, GAK just right direct plug & play. I will go to GC try myself soon.

The cabronita bass is also growing on me... the fact that it has a C neck (per the spec sheet) and not the modern C is really tempting. Plus the early 50's headstock, maple on maple and the same pickup as the mexican model, really tempting.

If they had really wanted to make it groovy, the headstock should have been reversed (engineering and string choice be damned).

The Squier Vintage Modified '77 jazz bass is listed as "upgraded" for 2013: Invalid Link Removed

Maybe I am overlooking something, but the only upgrade I can see is the Fender designed pickups instead of Duncan designed pickups. Any clues of how they sound compared to each other?

strange that they're selling a 2nd hand model already. perhaps it was a demo Fender sent them?

The natural VM Jazz V (that's been out) is listed as unavailable on the MF website. I thought they usually listed as available and just put the date - or approximate.

Maybe they're doing that b/c of the Olympic White soon to join.

For owners of the Jazz V, do the specs look the same?

The same EXCEPT the new has a gloss neck, where the old has a satin finish. Plus the pickups on the old were Duncan Designed. I have NO idea what that difference will sound like, but I can tell you I like the DD's in mine.

Ah, so there are some changes and that's probably why its no longer available. I do prefer satin (but can live with the gloss and some steel wool) and I had a 4 with the DD pickups and liked it.

Thx for the clarification.
