I own two Fender P5s, and they are awesome basses.
...so why do I want these now??
They're CHEAP!
Oh and that's not a KNOCK! I have a Squier Jazz VM V and I love it!

I just found this but don't have time to search through all the pages
Are these available in the US yet?!
MF listed the Cabronita as coming out in 2.5 weeks. Maybe the others will follow suit.
The Squier Vintage Modified '77 jazz bass is listed as "upgraded" for 2013: Invalid Link Removed
Maybe I am overlooking something, but the only upgrade I can see is the Fender designed pickups instead of Duncan designed pickups. Any clues of how they sound compared to each other?

MINE!
The natural VM Jazz V (that's been out) is listed as unavailable on the MF website. I thought they usually listed as available and just put the date - or approximate.
Maybe they're doing that b/c of the Olympic White soon to join.
For owners of the Jazz V, do the specs look the same?
The same EXCEPT the new has a gloss neck, where the old has a satin finish. Plus the pickups on the old were Duncan Designed. I have NO idea what that difference will sound like, but I can tell you I like the DD's in mine.
