At jazz night at my college awhile ago, sorry there's more Alex than bass there..
This pic doesn't sport a disheveled bassist (me), but it does have my bombed out college dorm room. Remember those days?
Remember? I'm still in those days. Thus far it's been a blast.

Nice phone. The camera on my phone makes everything look like '70's airbrushed porn.I just received #249, a hybrid lefty Cleveland. Everything that has been said about those basses is true, and more. Fantastic deep rich sound, unbelievable projection, great setup, almost plays itself. A truly marvelous bass.
Here are some pics, but unfortunately my little daughter broke the digital camera, so I had to use my phone to make them. Hope you don't mind the inferior quality.
Hmm... In fact, I don't know. It's easy to see that the top is carved and that the back is laminated, but I'm not sure what the ribs are made of. Perhaps Arnold or Wil could chime in?Are the hybrids still coming with solid sides? They used to have solid sides on everything then moved to laminated sides on the laminated top instruments. Didn't know if the top and sides were solid or just the top these days.
In fact, me and some members of the french version of talkbass are trying to organize our own version of a belchfest in La Rochelle, France, maybe in July or August...i think we have to organise a european-talkbass-cleveland-check-get-together in bordeuax...![]()

now a little bit more on topic:
does anybody know where theses basses (the blanks) are made?
a trip to Arnold's shop would be even better.
