La Scala hybrid. I played a Cleveland and loved it, but since I'm a smaller guy, the size and scale of the La Scala fits me better.

Hrm, guess I never saw this thread. I have a fully carved Cleveland from 2009 (#305?). The label has gone AWOL so I may need a new one from Wil.

Love it to bits, esp after I put a false nut in and shrank the scale length to 41 3/4".

Standard length: 42". It's prolly psychological, but the bass just sounds outright better and just a touch easier to play.

FYI - (regarding the measurements of the whole-step span in Half-Position from "F - G", for example) - here are those measurements:
42" = 4.325"
41.75" = 4.300"
or, a difference of 0.025" (25/1000 of an inch.)

Here's mine! Cleveland, number 171 from 2005: all plywood all the time. I love this bass. It plays like butter with a big, warm character to it. It was strung with gut in the top photo, but these days it's G,D,A in Spirocore Mittel and E in Spirocore Stark so I can sometimes add an EM pickup to the Full Circle.

I believe so. I've been doing this for several years with several different luthiers, most recently Kieran O'Hara

Same here with my hybrid: it's falling apart at an exponentially slower rate than its dance partner.
