New Strings from SIT! "Foundations"

Are Foundations okay to be strung through the body?
I have them strung through the body on this. They are great.

Then probably the 45-105/45-125 stainless steel Foundations stiffness is comparable to Marcus Miller version of the Super Bright.

I've been using the Dunlop Marcus Miller set on my Sandberg TM-5 for quite a while. Just put on a set of the SIT Foundations SS, and played it a little. Yes, the feel is very much the same!

I don't yet have much playing time on the Foundations, but my first impression is very favorable. Great pitch definition on the B string, and a mid clarity all over the neck which I like very much. Still, the highs are not at all harsh, for slap and pop. I need to spend more time on them, and put a live show on them, but it might just be I have a new favorite set of strings...

I’ve used Dunlop Marcus Miller and
The SIT rock brights

have to say I love the dimension and the depth and overall mid quality over the super brights

but the super right Marcus have a secret sauce for sure in the low mid that gives it some authority and girth
... and how about compared to Foundations SS?

I've previously used only SIT Power Wound Nickel, still I'm guessing the Rock Brights wouldn't be the same as Foundations SS.

The rockbrights are similar to regular superbrights

but specifically very similar to D’Addario flex steel because of the core material

I’ve never tried foundations
You'd like them.
Flex Steel were, and still are (still have 8 packs left) my favorite strings, but the Foundations are my new go to strings as a replacement of the Flexs.
Also, I just tried SIT Power steels (Fret Nation had them for$15.95) so I had to give them a go and they are great on my MTD Saratoga. They are bright with higher tension than Foundations and have good mids like, but not exactly the same as Foundations. I haven't tried the Steel Rock Brights as they are too expensive.

I've now got Foundations on all my basses except two special cases. Great strings. Low tension and flexible but not flabby, they break in quickly and then sound great for a long time after that, and just about the cheapest strings you can buy. What's not to like?

Does anyone here have the 30-120 gauge six string set?

Odd question but how are they packaged? Is it 30/40, 60/80 and 100/120? Thanks.
I don't have that particular set. But I know SIT always packages G & A together and D & E together. So, my guess would be the 30-120 set would have 40 & 80 together and 60 & 100 together and maybe a single 30 and a single 120.

I have the Foundations 45-125 set, which are packaged 45/85, 65/105 and single 125.
I also have the Power Wound Nickels 40-100, which are packaged 40/80 and 60/100.
