New Tech 21 Geddy Lee DI-2112

Hopefully there will be an internal jumper to combine the channels. Not concerned about an on/off switch but I do wish the mute switch was a stomp button. Not a deal breaker though. Can't be mad at Tech21 for giving us more options of a great product.
Not trying to be a party pooper but, fans of this preamp owe it to themselves to try out the Ampeg SVP-BSP. Albeit, a different flavor of clean and OD, it shares many of the features and has a combined output. It also features dual DI's with pot trims.
I will more than likely have the GEDD 2112 rack pre because I really like how it sounds.

Just another option. Tech21 makes some fine stuff too, though.

... I like that it also offers control of the dual preamp sections and Mid Shift that I wished the YYZ had. I already know it sounds great so I'm looking forward to more info

I noticed there is a level control and mid shift that I didn't notice before. I used another pedal for dirt, but used the YYZ's high channel for brilliance on my signal, while using the Deep to add much needed lows to my other overdrive(was using the YYZ as a mastering EQ).
The problem was, I had to play a lot with levels bc I was using just enough grit on the high channel so I could get any sound at all. This seems to solve that, now there's a question about bridging the two channels.

I have the rack version of this. Highly recommend it. Killer tone options, but can it be put in demo mode like the rack mount. In this configuration you can run both tone potions through both outputs for mono applications. The mid freq shift allows some really cool overdrive shaping. Love mine.

Tech 21 aren't calling this a pedal, so why would it need a bypass switch? There arent many (any?) amps where you can turn the pre amp section off

True. But I wish it was a pedal, with at least the drive able to be switched on and off, like the Bass Butler.
