Great to see Tim killing it again.
IMO I think this needs a foot switch not battery compartments.
If I didn't want a foot switch I'd buy the rack version.
I'll be happily staying with the YYZ for now.
Hope it goes well for them and I'm in the minority on this......

Its funny how Andrew Barta mentioned so much how the YYZ didn't need XLRs, I guess enough people spoke - I have the GED and love it, this almost has the same functions. Tight switch is new, they finally labeled the MUTE, no Fx loop though.
But my main question, adding to this thread is, the blend knob is -/+ from center, the rack model simply increases from DRY/WET(SansAmp) moving clockwise. Ive never seen a blend work like this, is it 50/50 at 12 and mixed accordingly from there?

The blend on the DI-2112 works just like the blend on every other SansAmp. clockwise DRY/WET

Gosh dang it. Do these people want every last penny I have or what? Stop making the things I need to have!
The only reason I say this is, I see the two little arrow indicators at 12 o'clock, one facing in either direction (the same orientation you would see on an active cut/boost EQ knob), the Blend knob on a GED is one arrow, starting all the way counterclockwise, pointing in the direction it begins to turn, I guess in hindsight it represents the same thing, 100% dry until 12 and so forth until 100% SansAmp. Comparing the two I just noticed the difference.
On a different note I backed off my blend last night to about noon and OMG it sounds so much better. I also padded my interface as much as I could to get the levels higher and its like it woke up the preamp. Everywhere I read people and Tech 21 state 100% blend, so I've always ran it at least 80% and its always been too boomy to hear the drives definition. If this "pedal" (stretch of the imagination calling it that) sounds anything like the rack, you can get some amazing pre AND post breakup out of this tech.

I have emailed Tech 21 just minutes ago about this and this is their reply:
There is a way to blend the channels internally without any technical mod or cost. You can email us once you make the purchase and we’ll walk you thru it.
As soon as it becomes available it will be mine.
This came out right when I was beginning to think about a pedalboard version of Geddy's rig...you know, split signals and stuff. Excellent timing.
That being said, I really expect a Deluxe version (like BDD or VTBD) to be introduced next year...or just in time for Christmas!

Do the outputs have a galvanic isolation? My Lehle P-Split II is a no brainer. There's no better splitting available, therefore I question it here. I could save a pedal with this if it works. Intriguing.
