This thread is more addictive than crack!
For all complainers like myself, I just thought of something that may curb your disappointment (if any) and this has yet to be mentioned in this thread (I think.)
With all due respect to Tech 21, perhaps they are limited, either by funds or machinery, to what they have at their disposal now?
It's not that they aren't listening or that they don't want to give us Blend knobs, Speakon outs, or Class D amp sections.
If you look at their products, they usually take the same few form factors, each drilled with nearly the same number of holes, in the exact same places, with similar other hardware. Just the silk screen differs on them.
In the case of the VT Bass, its "Mid" knob displaced a potential "Blend" knob in both the VT Deluxe and the new VT 300 incarnations. Previous products in the same chassis featured those Blend knobs. Perhaps the necessary re-tooling could not be accomplished at this time?
Same with the front-panel mute switch complaint. The Landmark 300 also was sans mute on the chassis. The legacy continues.
Missing your Speakon outs? They may be industry standard on amps and cabs now, but not way back when the Landmark 300 was first introduced.
Just a guess.
All I know is that I will continue to support Tech 21 and its products, and purchase those which fit my needs and budget.
