Amp looks great, anyone know if you can get it in Europe? Last time i checked there wasn't any European dealers.

Pretty gutsy move on Traynor's part to release the first batch of these to the rental market!
Have to think they will not be taken care of as well as an individual owner would plus potential constant hard use.
They must be confident that this new model is robust as the fall out from failed rental units would certainly lead to bad press.

Traynor/Yorkville and Long & McQuade are all very tightly affiliated. L&M does tonnes of small PA rental and backline stuff all across the country, so it's great exposure for a new product.

Legend has it that Pete Traynor used to throw the original YBA-1’s out the second floor window to see if they’d survive severe abuse.
I think the new testing regimen will be ok.

Traynor/Yorkville and Long & McQuade are all very tightly affiliated. L&M does tonnes of small PA rental and backline stuff all across the country, so it's great exposure for a new product.

Affiliated, yes... according to employment records, I work for 'Long and McQuade Limited,' but actually work at the Yorkville plant. Jack Long was still coming to work, pretty much daily. Steve (Jack's son and President of the 'company') also has his office at Yorkville. Long and McQuade HO is a short walk from Yorkville.

Rentals are a good testing ground for products and it was true, Pete did throw units off the roof! Those were the days, I came quite a bit later into the mix but was lucky enough to work with all those guys... even it it were for a short period. I've been at Yorkville for 32 years, started in Final QC, tested and beat up a lot of amps in my day! The guys on the assembly line called me "The Hammer" LOL

It has pros, cons, ups and downs. The 'people' are the real gold at Yorkville, I've worked with some stellar people over the years.
