New Traynor YBA 100!!

Prototype, ready for it but NOT yet done and tested (serial number covers the voltage etc. not being used... FYI I'm the guy whom created that artwork.

When we stopped working, we had just fulfilled some compliance testing and revisions were being implemented. The first runs will be 120V ONLY and 240V versions may or may not follow depending on the need.

Would be great if the final version will be switchable from 110/120V to 220/240V.

For those of you struggling to see what a YBA100 would look like as part of a rig, I have used my photoshop expertise to mock up a visual for y'all.

In the past I owned a YBA-3 Custom Special and I noticed how different it sound from a YBA-1a Bass Master the YBA-3 have a more articulate eq tha the YBA-1 which have basically one sound. Remark at that time (70') nobody have the idea of putting a distortion pedal on a bass, with a 50 w. EL34 tube amp you don't need to. if you like the Tim Bogert(Cactus) type of sound it was perfect:bassist:

I went twice around the block with the YBA-200. Best I could ever get out of it was putting an external preamp into the return and bypassing the front end. That amp's preamp and I just did not hit it off. I really like the reissue V4B though. I'll be really interested to hear a shoot out between the YBA-100 and V4B. A 100 watt tube head would be damn sweet for my retro Americana thing.

I am sure the YBA100 will find a lot of fans in Europe because an easy portable 100W tube amp with creamy overdrive is what many bassists are looking for. In the meantime I am having fun with my YBA200-II.

The NV412 was beautiful with the YBA300, the YBA200 I liked, but was never really happy with.
I've my old NV215 back now so the NV412 has gone, tho I'd be happy with either.
I'm finding I'm using my AD200B more than the Super Bassman lately tho. The amount of power seems just right, altho it doesn't seem much lighter in weight compared with the Super Bassman. The AD200B reminds me of the old Fender Bassman amps I used in the 80s and 90s, but with a good deal more power.

I'm always interested in a good Traynor tube amp tho.

I believe JJs for 12AX7s and Ruby for 6L6s, that's what is says in our system (accessing remotely).
