New Traynor YBA 100!!

A sealed back 210 cab, part of a sample/concept run as a DarkHorse that did not make it to regular production (I have a 410 too). Similar to the DHX212 guitar cab. I think they're loaded with celestial guitar speakers but it works well with bass, very vintage sounding.

Yes SB800H or whatever it may be called... the BB115 is almost ready for production and the SB800H is derived from the amp used in that combo.

That little amp looks sweet. Love to hear one but Traynor is seen around here as often as unicorns. Ok no “Oregon has legal herb” please. Lol. It’s very appealing, I’d love to hear it through my different Bergantino cabs. But if I bought one the first thing I’d do is build a nice fancy wood head cab for it. Then it would be off the charts cool. Pop it on top of my vintage Sunn cab and rock.

It's really hard to say what will work or won't for any one person.
Remember that the amp will put out 100w - 8 ohm or 4 ohm. Adding more speakers, of course, is the way to get more volume.

I gigged an old 100w Bassman and 2x12 cab for many years, and it was a perfect rig. I was in a 5 piece rock band with two guitars who used mid-size combos.

Very cool little amp, and a pretty awesome price point. I'm gonna check out the manual... another exciting Saturday night in quarantine.

i'm in the same boat. want to purchase one of these amps but not sure if 100 watts will be enough for a loud drummer. i'd be pairing mine with 2 (4ohm) Audiokinesis Hathor 1203's.
thoughts?

You mean 4 ohms combined, not 4 ohm each, right?

I've had a few different tube amps over the years including many that were "low watt" (and a lot of amps in general). A lot depends on the amp and how it is designed. Some amps break up, and some stay clean. And each has it's own personality when it does stat to breakup. Some are mushy and roar, some get tight and sound fizzy.

An Orange AD200 is designed to break up and get dirty, and a Hiwatt DR201 is designed to stay clean and never distort. Both 200w amps. IMO, a 200w Hiwatt could do a pretty much any gig for any bass player, because it puts out so much clean volume (assuming you could add pedals if you need dirt). But the Orange might only work for a very small group looking for "that sound."

All that to say, it depends on what you are looking for in terms of sound, volume, tone - and what the Traynor is designed to do.

The plant (with only a handful of staff) is concentrating on making ventilators for the time being. The YCV4050s (guitar) and YBA100s are 'in process.' PCBoards are almost done, the assembly line is waiting for other components, like metalwork etc., to begin. I've asked the supervisor to let me know when they begin assembly so I can take some in process picts!
