New Traynor YBA 100!!

Very clear lows. That's modern for a tube amp.

YBA300:
Very good samples of the YBA300 in this article (I found the link in the YBA300 thread).
Click the High Quality Audio checkbox in the red block on the right side. To hear the low notes the best try clip #2.

Also, check the clarity of these lows (and compare to the also very clear Fender Super Bassman).

YBA100:
If the YBA100 has the same preamp and if its output is also "ultralinear" like the 300, and if the only difference between them is 12 vs 4 output tubes (with proportionally smaller transformers), the YBA100 should still have pretty clear lows. The lows are likely to be clearer than a 6L6 V4B, for example.

In addition to the user adjustable bias with indicator lights for each pair of output tubes, the 300 has a test point where one can measure the voltage across one 2Ω cathode resistor per pair of tubes.
-The 100 does not have these test points.

The 300 has one more tube, a 12au7 (as cathode followers) that drives the power tube grids.
-In the 100, if it is the case that a 12ax7 voltage gain stage drives the power tubes (instead of a 12au7 current gain stage), and if everything else is the same, then this fact (along with having 4 instead of 12 output tubes) would probably increase tube flavor when the master is high. It's likely to start compressing at some point.

In the 300, the 12ax7 prior to that 12au7 (one half of each per side) receives a signal that is already split, and the layout is symmetrical.
-If the corresponding 12ax7 in the 100, that drives the power tubes, is laid out this same way (symmetrically, and with the signal already having been split), and if it gets overdriven, it's going to sound pretty nice, and smooth.
-But if it has to both split and drive (like most guitar amplifiers), there would be other distortion modes common to guitar amps. I think this is very unlikely.

That's enough speculation about the YBA100 schematic, which we haven't seen.
It was someone in the YBA300 thread who said that the preamps are the same.
I was continuing my answer to @NKBassman about the likely tone: more tube flavor than the 300, but probably of a smooth type. I think it will be popular.

Currently I'm working on a special medical device project (a ventilator) which can help people with COVID-19 and other ailments. We're doing our best.

FWIW - the new amp delivery date has been pushed to Sept 15 in the ad for it up on Reverb - not sure whether that means anything or not but it could reflect a more reasonable time frame given the current Corona situation . Would be great to hear from one of the actual Traynor folks on here about their thoughts as to how realistic that Sept arrival date is . ... Kelly

While there are a few of us working away, our focus has been prepping a ventilator for the COVID-19 pandemic. We're also trying to prep anything that's close to being ready for full 'production.' The YBA100 is already pretty much ready to go, pending the return of the manufacturing team.

I would LOVE to say that July 17th is a reasonable landing date but the manufacturing lines are not up and running yet. Sorry.

Well, when they actually start to build, I will let you guys know. I don't ming the occasional reminder. At the moment we're beginning to build ventilators. I believe all is good to go RE: the YBA100 & YCV4050, everything is in place.
