I had a TRBX500 in the past and I can attest that the TRBX 300/500/600 have thinner front to back necks. More like an Ibanez Soundgear profile.
That's good to hear! Why did you part ways with the TRBX500? The 505 (and now the 605) are on my short list of "next purchase" basses, although I haven't had the opportunity to try them out.

Sweetwater has the TRBX604 in black. Does anyone know what is the difference between the 604 and the 504? It looks the same as a black 504, the spec seems the same, but +$100. Did they do something to the electronics?

It's model number is 100 higher, so it's obviously worth $100 more.

I seriously hope they're not upcharging more for a flamed top and a different tone wood and would hope/assume they changed the electronics. I thought I remembered reading somewhere that they tweaked the preamp but I can't find where I read it, so I could be delirious.

Nice looking bass, sounds good too.Problem is, i'm over this trend of flame maple over the base body wood. Problem is i don't know why! A mild and tasteful spalt? Subtle tiger eye? Bit of pretty Bubinga and they would of had me. But again, nice sounding, robust bass.
