Another option for those looking to use a battery pack.

Hey All,
Anyone experience high pitch noise when zoom b3n is plugged into amp? Especially with the Dark Glass settings?
Only when powering the B3n in a chain or using a non-isolated power supply.
Why, yes. It is!So...what is the consensus on DI box for use with B3n?
...I figure, if I commit to using my B3n, a passive DI (JDI, ProDI or SB-2) would suffice for both my passive and active basses. Is this a correct assumption?
this of course not a consensus...So...what is the consensus on DI box for use with B3n?
I use a passive Fender J-Bass and an active Ibanez SR-500. For (non-pro) recording purposes, I want to use a DI from the B3n to the mixer (Zoom L-12).
Typically, I use the B3n about 50% of the time. I've yet to fully integrate it with my band. Absent the B3n, I'm having a hard time figuring out which Radial DI would cover my bases for both basses. But I figure, if I commit to using my B3n, a passive DI (JDI, ProDI or SB-2) would suffice for both my passive and active basses. Is this a correct assumption?
Thanks in advance for your advice!
Yeah there is a setting where it remains with active until you find/select a new one...As I make my transition from a Boss GT-10B to one of these units, I notice one thing that seems a big disadvantage against the Zoom by comparison:
On the Boss, the system maintains a given patch until you activate another. Meaning, you can have a patch active and cycle far and wide across banks or presets until you find the next one you want; the tone will not change until you actually activate a new patch.
On the Zoom, the tone seems to change to the active patch slot (1, 2, or 3) in whatever patch bank I select or even travel through, even if I do not actually activate the patch.
Does this sound right, or am I doing something wrong? It seems like I may have to keep a clean patch in every bank of my saved presets to avoid audibly cycling through sounds during a song. Not optimal.
Must have missed that, not tons of opportunity to RTFM between the crushing burdens of my wife, children, the massive financial responsibility I’ve accepted, and all the things I have to do on a daily basis to meet the personal and professional expectations of all the people around me. But I do appreciate the help. I’ll try to make it up by paying about 25x the average in federal tax this year.RTFM![]()
