Yeah Buddy! That's what I'm talkin' bout![]()
After over a year of speculation, the pedal is finally released and still no decent audio examples?
This is not a good sign to me - the fact that the B3n conversation is now shifting to modifications, potential future updates, jokes, and simply "you should buy this pedal" kinda talk.
Bass-players rarely get to celebrate, so when a great device is released - within hours, there are usually user-made soundcloud links/youtube demos to demonstrate the genuine excitement of a new product (Darkglass, Future Impact, Aftershock, Cali 76, etc).
When the B3 was released - within hours, I saw some great demo videos appear and immediately decided to sell my inferior Boss GT-10B for the superior sounding Zoom B3!
But this time, there are people that have had this pedal for over a month now (Japan, etc), and still nothing, not even one single soundcloud link?
Surely, after all the hype, there would be something about this pedal that you would want the world to hear?
I really hope I'm wrong! .......![]()

Quite dismissive of you....
I'm also an audio/mastering engineer, and so my ears are quite tuned to audio processing fidelity.
After hearing the B3 demos, I could tell immediately that it was a significant improvement over my Boss GT-10B - this is what informed my purchase.
I also do not care how well a piece of gear sells, and I have no idea why you even mentioned that - other than to be dismissive?
You keep assuming/strongly implying in your messages that what is of no concern to you, should be of no concern to others in this thread.
If you cannot add anything meaningful to my enquiries, you are not required to respond to me (you seem to be the thread 'thought police', responding to every post in this thread, but rarely adding anything of meaning, or substance to the discussion - other than to mention that you have a G5n and how you personally like to use it (this is quite irrelevant to a B3n discussion thread).
Other people on this forum have their own hopes/expectations for this pedal, but you frequently respond as some authority figure that always knows best..... for example:
"I've heard enough online, but really don't value audio/video demos that much since I'm going to create my own sounds from scratch, and the gear either works for me or it doesn't"
This kind of comment shows no regard for another person's usage, or technical/creative outlook.
It would be nice to hear some other user's opinions on this thread other than Jimfist's...... for a change......![]()
My B3n did not include the USB cable required for updates and connection to a computer.
Just in case you do not have this specific Micro B cable in your collection at home, here is a link to one

Placed my order with B&H yesterday at 1:30PM (their cutoff time is 4PM) so I was supposed to get it today, but it hasn't even been shipped yet
No bass fun this weekend![]()
Yeah, I was really looking forward to it. Can't seem to start a live chat with B&H though.Bummer! Complain to B&H and perhaps they can make things right!
It's quite nice. Worth twice the dosh in my estimate. Not the be all or end all but will easily cover most needs.Mainly because of all this banter I had to order it. Come on Sweetwater!! Giddy up!!![]()
It's merely a credit card and a click away.I want one so bad!
For folks who have the B3n (is it only @CharlieC at this point?), how do the amp models compare to the B3? I run my B3 on all the time with the SVT->B-man->para eq and get a raunchy tone I haven't found anywhere else.
Do the B3n models sound really similar, just better? Or do they sound pretty different from the B3 versions?
