News on Chunk Systems Bass Synth

GST (or VAT, state tax, whetever the name regardless of the country) is a tax paid by consumers to their own state.
If you order a product in USA, you won't have to pay US state tax but you will have to pay Australian GST for it as soon as it passes customs.

So I'm guessing it works vice-versa for other countries (don't have to pay Aussie tax, but have to pay tax when it hits customs on the other end)?

Wait? I can get one for $500 total?

"All international customers are not required to pay Australian GST (10%) so you can actually buy this pedal for AUD $499.09 - Awesome deal for you guys -"

EDIT: Damn, sold out.

What do you mean "sold out"? They aren't even available for sale yet :D I'm guessing you mean the "out of stock" note?

Normally a boutique builder like this is lucky to have one or two vaguely recognisable names among dozens of obscure nordic metal bassists on their "Who's Using It" page. Who does Chunk Systems have?

Bootsy
JMJ
Mike Watt and
Byron Stroud

Jebus!

Knowing my luck it'll come out just as I'm supposed to be going on a holiday in two weeks time.

"Sorry Honey, no room for your suitcase, my bass amp is in the way."

Hey guys

Let me explain the situation,

We had an original allocation from the first run of the pedals which much to my own and everyone's surprise we filled. Really Fast. I have actually upped our order with chunk 3 times to cover.

So yesterday i spoke to Richard about securing more of these pedals - (he was blown away by the numbers as well - We have dubbed it octavius mania) and more importantly how long before i receive the first shipment will we have to wait till we get more - Richard has told me that he will be able to tell me that time when he knows how long it takes to actually assemble one of them.

He has been working his team around the clock to get this pedal out asap and he will be getting back to me early next week with a time frame.

So this is the situation - we will still be taking pre orders at AUD 549. The pedal will be signed by richard at chunk but unfortunately we wont be able to do the shirt. Still an awesome deal.

Remember that these will be delivered after the first batch arrives - as i said, i'm not sure how long yet - untill i know that i wont reopen the back ordering on the website but if anyone is still wanting to order please email me on [email protected] - i need names and emails and locations. thanks.

i am keeping a list of people who are wanting one and i will be letting them know as soon as i know all the info and the web is back to taking orders.

I have done it like this because i want the exact deal to be on the website when people are ordering them so everything is 100% clear with no room for mis communication.

Guys i want to say thanks for the support and feel free to PM me with questions.

Sorry for the long post

jb

A couple of things i missed:

The initial order was ended up much more than 10 - the demand has been so high that evan and I have both forfeited our place in the line so you guys can get them - i have to buy evan some beer to convince him;)

For you guys who have ordered from us already, your pedals are part of the initial order and will be delivered in the first run with the signed pedal and shirt.
so if you have ordered and paid through our website or in store already you are part of the first run.

Good times

Thanks guys

jb

So the 10th would be joelyb. Pretty sure the 4 you mentioned ordered through Godlyke (Gashaponcito and Knuffelbeeuwtje did, not sure about the other two).

I got mine from Godlyke as well. I had hoped to go through ToneFactor but was told that they (along with most places) might not get any of the first run. So I preordered from Godlyke at the original price.

I have one pedal on loan and this one to arrive to finish* my pedalboard.

*Yes, I realize the ridiculousness of this claim. . .
