Y'know, there's gotta be something wrong with this pedal. It sounds great from the clips, it's small, upgradable, and it has a zillion functions. So there's got to be some sort of downside. My guess is that it can only be powered by baby kangaroos or something. And we ALL know how quickly they need to get replaced

Actually I have a few concerns. The biggest one is obviously tracking, but I'm hopeful that it will be good. The clips make it seem that way.

The second is whether the octaver can sound a bit more natural as all of the clips thus far seem to be square wave.

The last one is whether it will have some of the unpredictability of the 00Funk. As a filter it is quirky. You can set it for one sound and then jump up higher on the neck and the effect changes noticeably.

Still, if I was truly concerned by any of these I wouldn't have preordered.

I'm really hoping the octaver is at least semi-polyphonic. I had to sell my MicroPOG a while back, and it would be nice to have an octave up that can handle two or more notes at a time.

I'm hoping the octave, filter are good in it since I'll probably be using it in my bands to do Muse lines, (ie octave down, filter with fuzz).

I don't think that's possible without DSP. It's hard enough to do pitch extraction on a single note, but with two played at once it'd be impossible.

This is what it states on the Chunk site:
"A digital pitch tracking stage tracks the notes you play right down to the bottom of your instrument's range and drives an analog synthesizer which can produce various waveforms at either the same pitch as your input, one octave down, one octave up or two octaves up"

That's how I understood it. I think earlier in the thread someone asked if it would provide polyphonic octave doubling, and Mr Cartwright said no, or at least not at launch. To be honest though if it's a fully analogue signal path I don't see how they can add polyphonic voicing to it in future.

All I'm hoping for is the best-tracking analogue octaver ever. If they can deliver that, I'll be more than happy.

That was me. So, for the answer, I'll throw it...to me!

That's not our main priority, but I suspect it'll end up being able to track
chords to at least some extent. We're focussing on getting the tracking fast
and precise for single notes first.

Quite a few pages back somebody questioned how you could navigate and save settings on this pedal. Im not sure if anybody else noticed but if you look really close at the picture on chunks website, I see the words "push/menu and push/select" right below the top knobs. So the two top knobs rotate and can be pressed down. S*** I want it now!
