Haha they're alright. I just can't get into them anymore after listening to Beck's Midnight Vultures. Not that his album was entirely ground breaking or original though. Have a listen, you'll see what I mean.

Brett McKenzie was playing at our local cafe earlier this year. Funny to think that they're known round the world now!

Anyway... back on topic... patiently waiting for the pedal! :smug:

As a side note tying some of this FotC derail back into the discussion, I traded emails with Richard Cartwright a couple months back regarding a potential second round of clips and tones I wanted to achieve.

There were some typical things - straight octaver sounds, Deeper Undeground, etc, but one of the things I was curious about was that sort of G-Funk hip-hop synth. The examples I gave were Snoop's "What's My Name" and the Conchords "Mother Uckers". Not only did Richard say he thought the Squeezer could do it, but that he dug that song. That made me smile.

That's what I figured. I gave him a lot of pop examples for clips and also to ask if (and how) the Squeezer could be set up for specific sounds. Yoshimi Battles the Pink Robots, typical reggae synths, Hellagood, Deeper Underground as I mentioned etc. Not only was I personally interested in some of those, but I told him that having clips of that fashion would attract a lot more buyers.

My Robot Factory Pulse Synth gets pretty close to it (that's the main reason I ordered one). The main issue I've got is that it picks up and runs with too much of my additional guitar-playing noise - probably with the addition of a good gate it'd be bang on.

So yeah given that the OS does a pulse waveform it should do the job.

I think you could buy from Godlyke. It's $625 from there so about £320.

I'm not sure what the stance on shipping to England is but I'm pretty sure they do it... If they don't it's going to set you back £600 from a English dealer.
