The two TDs that went the other way weren't really his fault. But leading the offense to just 3 points is still inexcusable.

The horrific clock management at the close of the second quarter finally did me in. I been on the fence ever since his inexcusable performance in the Super Bowl two seasons back. His clock management at the close of the second quarter was a rookie mistake. And the man is far from a rookie.

The Bengals are lame, lame, lame. Dalton is lame, Lewis is lame, Burfict is still lame. I'd contend they are lamer than the Browns as they are, on paper, a better team.
Had to laugh my butt off at Dre Kirkpatrick in this video:

Off the top of my head, I'll take Bettis and his stiff arm of Urlacher for the goal line TD.
It's not your classic stiff arm like Bell gives Kirkpatrick, but he does get one in there as he pushes Urlacher down.
Plus, Bettis is 10 times the player Bell will ever be.

Yeah, that stiff arm was a thing of beauty. I'm just glad the Steelers got out of there without any major injuries.

I did get to smile at another point during that game as well. A friend of mine has a grandson who just graduated from boot camp in the Marines. The kid's dad (my friend's son) is a cameraman for CBS Sports. During a stop in the action, they posted a pic on the screen of my friend's son and grandson and their family, giving a shout-out to the grandson for making it through boot camp. The grandfather and I were both K-9 handlers together in Vietnam.

Haden gets his first INT as a Steeler off the hands of AJ Green, just days before the Florida/Georgia game. Joe's gotta be happy about that.:D

When they picked up Drew Stanton a few years ago, I was thinking this guy could be a diamond in the rough. Has the height, the arm, football intelligence...really felt he was ready to emerge. Then the Cards picked up Palmer and back to the bench he went and stayed. And after yesterday's showing, let's just say what little hope we had of turning the season around just went out the window. Gawd awful.

Color me surprised. NE actually fielded a defense this week! Very happy if this is the "righting of the ship" we really needed.

So the Titans have a decent kicker. . .

I don't think it's a formula that's going to work against a lot of teams. Granted, the Brownies have damn fine defense, but c'mon. I need to see more out of the position players. Adoree isn't getting nearly the love of the other Rookies but he has been lights out so far. And at a position that Rookies rarely shine in.

I was shocked by how discombobulated the Falcons were last night vs. the Pats. They were like the second coming of "the greatest show on turf" last year, but now they are in one serious funk. I figured Atlanta would be extremely geared up for this game, but I guess the pain of the Super Bowl hanger is still lingering.

It seemed as though the Patriots were more fired up for this game, and it just goes to show that they actually can field a defense. And all this without their big off-season signing in Gilmore, and also without Eric Rowe, who played well vs. Atlanta last year. A lot of Pats fans are wondering whether Gilmore is pulling a stunt like Jamie Collins, that got him traded to Cleveland last year. Word is that Gilmore is talented one-on-one, but doesn't like to play "system" defense, which is usually the nail on the coffin for coach Hoodie.

We'll have to wait and see with both teams which is the case: "will the real Patriots/Falcons please stand up?".
