NFL 2018 Week #9

Well, they shipped out montgomery so Rodgers might have a chance to win it on their last possession.

I think would have been a closer game if clinton -dix was there, but I'd be really, really surprised if they pulled the upset. Their travel schedule is brutal this month.

Rams v Pats in SB LIII

Just about my version of hell.

Lot of trade day shenanigans.

The Rams getting Fowler is a bit of a coup. Wade knows exactly what to do with him.

The Iggles getting Golden Tate is a fantastic get.

Titans will get rolled on MNF. Oh the humanity . . . .

Saints have been really fun to watch this season and they just keep somehow winning. How do you only get like 230 total yards and still beat the Vikes like that? SO weird. Should be another good game this week to watch for saints and rams.

At least this week I don't have to wait until Sunday to see my Raiders get embarrassed by a crappy team.

tate trade was good deal for both I think. Lions aren't going to lose any more games because of him and a third rounder for a guy that was only playing eight more games is a pretty good deal. Tate is definitely going to be the best guy they have on that offense, with the exception of Ertz.

Gruden is building for 2020. He doesn't care about the Oakland fan base, he's looking to appease the Vegas fans. To that end he's doing a ground up restoration. Shipping a talent like Mack seems foolhardy unless you take into consideration they were going nowhere with him. By the time the team was going to be a contender he would be at the end of his elite ability and descending into very good/good. By getting #1s they are resetting the talent with the window of opportunity.

I think it's brilliant.

But I'm also a Raider h8r :D Still, it's the right thing to do.

The Ravens get another running back with which Marty Mornhinweg will neglect the running game.

Oh yeah, it is Steelers week. The Ravens O-line is banged up, the offense is still mediocre, the defense is still not reliable in big games. I think the Steelers take this one, hoping the Ravens will prove me wrong.

Big Ben has a fractured finger. Non throwing hand but still. He may not be as crisp with his throws.

I know it's long term, but man it's hard to watch. Plus any Raider fan will tell you they were a derek carr broken leg away from a serious super bowl run two years ago.

Five first rounders in the next two drafts is pretty lux, though.
They are making like the Browns that way. Be careful what you wish for. I don't see a whole lot of hope for the Browns in the next couple weeks, but who knows. Maybe they just needed a good shakeup and they got one. The main thing for the Browns is to escape the season with Mayfield in one piece. There's no way the Browns beat the Chiefs, short of something miraculous. Seahawks are at home. We get to find out if they are all that and a bag of chips or not. Same with the Chargers. The Chargers have a gaudy record, but who have they played? The Seahawks started pretty bad, but seem to be figuring it out. Seattle actually has a fully functional offensive line for once. Go figure. They almost beat the Rams, and Wilson didn't get killed by the Rams defensive front, which is usually what happens when the Seahawks play the Rams. I don't think the Rams pass rush has got worse, either. The second half of the season should be fun for this complete homer and band-wagon jumper.

Washington trades for Clinton-Dix giving them two all pro caliber safeties
Eagles trade for Golden Tate giving Wentz a new toy during their bye week
LeVeon Bell still out of camp
Rams picked up another head case
Packers over Pats by 10

We'll know a lot about Seattle by the end of November. The Chargers, Rams, Packers, and Panthers are on the schedule.
That's a tough month.

The Chargers are 5-2, but I won't believe they're for real until they win at least 10 games. Last time that happened? 2009.
