Good point, but I think that's deceptive. I think all of the other 3 teams in that Division are better than the Steelers this year. And unless something miraculous develops on the QB horizon, I don't see that changing in the near future.

The limited ability to put up many points against decent defenses will keep them at .500 or a bit better. It's a shame they are wasting a pretty good defense with the combination of Ben and a very sub-par OL.

@gln1955 and @Jeff K nailed it on the Steelers. Those 1.5 games might as well be 15 games. There is no hope for Pittsburgh with Ben at QB. He's done, finished, played out and so are the Steelers as long as they trot him out there each week.
Let me clarify, no hope at winning a Super Bowl. If you're happy with a team that doesn't go .500, you can stop reading this now. :)
The Steelers aren't 4-13 or even 6-11 bad, but they are bad.
I realize from a distance Tomlin looks like a masterful coach who gets the most from his players and has never had a losing season, but I'll argue it's the guys on the field doing that despite Tomlin as well as Tomlin. He rode that great defense from the 2000's into the ground and squeezed every single win he could from it, a team with HOF'ers on it. That's great Tomlin and he deserves credit for that. However....
He hasn't developed a secondary since Troy and Ike left, still hasn't. He was supposed to be some DB guru and master of the Tampa 2.
They finish just good enough not to be able to rebuild correctly. Think about it, Tomlin had a winning record with Mason Rudolph and Devlin Hodges, so it's clear he's always going to be just good enough not to be bad bad. That's a testament to the kind of guy Tomlin is, he's a good dude, but I think he's played out on a few different levels.
I know for some Steeler fans it's a scary world out there without Ben and Tomlin, but it has to be done. Especially Tomlin and even more so Keith Butler.
The rest of the AFC East has made the tough decisions and are headed in the right direction, getting further ahead of Pittsburgh each year.
I never thought I'd say it, but Cincy looks legit. They ripped the band-aid off so to speak, took some lumps, but look at them now.
Pittsburgh has franchise players on both sides of the ball, and they are young. Please Rooney's, don't waste these players thinking Ben and Tomlin have one more Super Bowl run in them. They don't and haven't for a few years now.
I'm not as big an NFL as I used to be, but I have my pride. I don't want to be eating dust from the Baltimore, Cleveland, AND Cincy.

What's y'all's take on the Chiefs?

Their defense stinks. That's my take.

Because their defense stinks, they inevitably have to outscore everybody as if in a shootout, which often means coming from behind. When you play that way, it amplifies any errors your offense makes and makes them all far more costly. Their offense is formidable but they are kind of using it to bail out a leaky ship with a teaspoon, and that's not a good long term strategy.

I'm not sure what it would take for the Rooneys to dump Tomlin. Maybe two or three losing seasons. Simply underachieving with the talent he is given isn't enough.

I love Ben (although he's been an ass at times) but he should have hung it up when he blew out his elbow.
