Nothing that a new coach, followed by a new QB, followed by another new coach, followed by another new QB shouldn't fix.

I know you are joking, but I think the Browns finally got the coach part down with Stefanski. Maybe they overachieved last year, and expectations are too high, but they have not beaten the good teams they have faced, and it may have something to do with this as well:

Up until today (and I've been wavering in the last week or so) I thought Mayfield could be a franchise QB, or at the least one able to take a team to a championship (be it a division or a conference championship; not necessarily a league championship.)

I no longer believe this is true.

Yeah, he doesn't seem to be able to put the team on his back...

I'm gonna go out on a very shaky limb and disagree. Seahawks are 5 point underdogs and the Steelers are on the rise, I believe. If Tomlin is gonna win nine games to never have a losing season, they may have to win this one.

And just like that, the Stillers are .500 and sharing the cellar of the AFC North with the Browns. Tomlin's job is secure.

Shoulda taken that bet!

Vin said it best, I don't believe what I just saw.
Never in a million years did I think Pittsburgh was going to win that game. If not for TJ Watt, Seattle would have won that game. That's two games now that TJ has solely won for the Steelers. So far, he is definitely worth every single penny of that highest paid defensive player in the NFL contract the Steelers gave him. That alone is good to see as often times as soon as a guy gets paid he takes it back a notch.

They have all the talent, but they're not quite a well oiled machine, like the old Pats.
Told you. Even with all the mistakes and injuries for the other team.
The Bills still have a fairly easy schedule ahead, but I'm still not sure they're seasoned enough to win a championship.
I'm not making excuses, but on that 76 yard Henry TD, the bills safety was held. The blocker had his hands up inside and had a hold of his helmet, right under where the ear hole is. No way the ref could pick that up where it happened, but it was obvious when he tried to pull away to make the tackle.
Not that he would've made the tackle, but definitely would've slowed him down. And the 15 min meetings for every call was annoying.

WFT at Lambeaux

A team GB should beat based on WFT point differential (-50) and that they haven't beat anyone too difficult. Don't know their injury status but the Pack are really beaten up presently on defense especially. in typical GB form, I think they'll play down to the competition and it'll be closer than it should be.

I wasn't thrilled with Rogers' comments to the crowd after the last game, but it was Da Bears in Chicago. Perhaps not the biggest impropriety in that case.

The WFT ought to be a win for the Pack, even if they play down to them.

Seeing WFT in print makes me laugh. Yeah, I'm actually a fourteen year old.

I still can't believe anyone agreed on such a ridiculous name.
I can't imagine one idiot at the meeting yelling out, "how about just naming it 'football team'",.... and having a single other person say, " yeah, that's a great idea!"

Chiming in from Chicago, I think a lot of Bears fans just simply accept that Rodgers is 100% correct. And I have no doubt that he heard a whole lot from the crowd before making that declaration.

Kind of like a Dodge Ram Big Horny Edition, with the "Y" being essentially a uterus diagram. They thought it was a horned sheep head, but not to my eye. There's nothing but outstanding and obvious wrong there, and it's hilarious that there are people driving around out there with that written in chrome on their trucks. Every company needs a person with the mentality of a slightly twisted fourteen year old to check to see if things like that are a good idea.

The WFT must still be trying to come up with the new name, colors, logo, etc that will make them the most money. That's what it's all about. Or, they are waiting until sales of WFT gear tails off, then they'll reveal the new name and logo so fans can restock and buy all new gear.
Me, I quite like it as is. Every NFL team should consider it. SFT, PFT, NEFT, TFT, LAFT1, LAFT2, DFT, BFT, and so on.

Funny to read that. That team has been around a long time, and I think the name "Washington Football Team" sounds great and has a nice old-timey feel to it. I'd love it if they kept that name!

Diff'rent strokes...

So, was that the deal? It's just temporary until they do a new name and uniform? I don't know any of the details other than the obvious.

Basically, yes. They are reviewing their options for a new name/logo. I am glad to read they plan on keeping the colors.
More details here: [Invalid or Expired Link Removed].

I personally like the throwback, “Acme”-style name, but I believe they are unable to keep it due to a trademark/copyright issue, so it will become something else.

Those old-skool uni’s they were wearing this last weekend looked great. (Would look even better when winning…)
