Well bummer, Richard Sherman has a pulled hamstring. In his words, 'asked a lot from my body in a short amount of time'.
While I am not an elite athlete, I can relate. I have 17 years on Mr. Sherman, and know the feeling when I ask too much from my body. It let's me know. :D

I think his body is letting him know it's time to retire. I hope he does. I have a lot of respect for him and his intelligence. He will do well, post football, provided that he hasn't beat his brains to a pulp and his body to the point it no longer works. He has a whole lot of life ahead of him. Using it up on one last football season isn't a good idea.

And, as far as asking things from an old bag of bones, I'm about 30 years older than he is. Nothing works quite like you want it to after a while.

Russell Wilson is practicing with a trashed finger on his throwing hand. Apparently he is trying to throw the football left handed. If anybody can pull that off, it's him. But c'mon, let it heal! Geno Smith can handle things against the Steelers, provided that the rest of the team do their jobs. Meaning the defense, mostly.

The Browns and Cardinals should be fun, for a lot of reasons. Including Mayfield and Murray on the same field, post Oklahoma.

I want a QB with the mentality to play on a busted finger but the level-headedness not to. I also want to fly some day.

Wilson now on the IR after 149 straight starts. That’s a hell of a run.
Seahawks put Wilson, Carson on injured reserve

I don't watch enough NFC, but the AFC game will probably have a ton of points scored. Chiefs/Bills?
Same. I checked the Bills schedule and I can't see a reason why they don't finish 15-1. The chiefs seem iffy, but they usually find a way, so can't count them out.
NFC seems more competitive. The best teams seem to be Dallas, GB, Tampa, Rams and AZ is 6-0? and their schedule doesn't seem too bad either. I feel like it's too early to pick in the NFC.

Up until today (and I've been wavering in the last week or so) I thought Mayfield could be a franchise QB, or at the least one able to take a team to a championship (be it a division or a conference championship; not necessarily a league championship.)

I no longer believe this is true.
