NFL 2021-22

I don't think they did follow all the regulations, though. And he knew he was not immunized in the judgement of actual medical experts on this subject.

After a lengthy back-and-forth, the league, the players union and an infectious disease consultant approved by both parties heard Rodgers' case for an exemption and ruled that he would not get the same consideration and would be considered unvaccinated.

The NFL has considered Rodgers as unvaccinated since the start of the season, sources confirmed to ESPN and as first reported by NFL Network.

Sources said Rodgers follows masking protocols while interacting with players and coaches inside the team's headquarters at Lambeau Field. However, Rodgers does not wear a mask while in the media auditorium during his weekly and postgame news conferences. The Packers have put other unvaccinated players on Zoom instead of at in-person media sessions.

If I was a Packers reporter and unknowingly exposed to an unvaccinated Rodgers at every press conference during the season--not to mention other interview opportunities--I'd be pissed.

Somehow I missed the Titans signing Adrian Peterson. Is that real? I didn't think he was still playing.

Yep. After Derrick Henry went down (a real shame, he was having a fantastic year), they signed him. He hasn't played since last season with the Lions--so of course no one outside of Detroit knew he was in the league.:D

And I will add--he could have avoided all of this publicity about it simply by being honest in the August press conference. He's not dumb, he knew he was misleading everyone when he responded to the question of whether he was vaccinated with "Yeah, I'm immunized." Now he wants to play the victim, so he goes on the McAfee show where he knows he's not going to get challenged on any of his claims. Oh well.

He is done. He is the only person on the planet who doesn't know it yet. Would you play with and for a dishonest drama queen like him? Nope. And neither will anybody else.

I don't know. He's the reigning MVP and #3 in QBR this season, I think some guys will be willing to overlook his issues for a 1-2 year shot at a ring.

What about all the atrocious behavior/criminal actions by previous NFL'ers? Most of them got grabbed up by other teams if released by their own. Or they were drafted by an NFL team after an assault (ala Joe Mixon).

Not saying it's right. But to think that nobody else would play with Rodgers doesn't ring true IMO. Look at all the scumbags whose careers have survived after having seemingly been dealt a death knell. Below is a list of NFL player arrests since 2000. I did not review the entire lengthy list, but I'm sure you guys/gals can think of a few examples of players who kept playing after doing stupid (and often criminal) things.

If people like Mixon (punching women) and Michael Vick (operating fight-to-the-death dog fights) were allowed to play after their crimes, I would think that some team would take a chance on Rodgers.

Dear lord, we're calling people scumbags and comparing not getting a vaccine to criminal behavior like dog fighting and beating women? How hysterical, sensational, overreacting and ridiculous can you possibly be?
I was told this wasn't the covid 19 thread, but people can carry on about Rogers and his vaccine drama for a whole page? And he did all this for attention? Funny, I didn't even know about it except for the people talking about it in this thread. I guess we can go on and on and on about how we view Rogers and his stance on vaccines in this thread,.......as long as it's the -hysterical, non-scientific, bash everyone who doesn't want/need to be vaccinated- side of the discussion? Is that how the rules work in the "football" thread? How about we delete all the vaccine and "scumbag" talk, or at least take it to the COVID thread. Or, is that just for the people that have no problem with Rogers' vaccine decisions?

Anyway, the Bills look terrible today.
If they win, it'll be because the jaguars have been beating themselves all game.

Dallas has it on their own 28, 4th and seven. Dak throws a deep-ish pass and Sterns from Denver intercepts it at the 40 of Dallas.
What happened to game/situational awareness? Knock it down.

The Browns defense destroyed the Bengals early with turnovers. A 99 yard pick six makes up for a lot of flaws. Mayfield doesn't seem to miss OBJ much, either. The Browns gained more yards on a whole lot fewer plays. I don't know if the Bengals just sucked or if the Browns figured something out over this past week.
