I would disagree about the Broncos’ receivers. Jeudy is the one with the highest name recognition, of course. But Sutton and Patrick are both high caliber receivers as is Fant at TE, and now you have Albert O coming on as well. (Sutton made the Pro Bowl in just his second year in 2019, but was injured in the first game last year and missed the whole season.)

It’s a strong group, IMO. They just haven’t had a Manning-level QB throwing to them during their tenure. Add someone like that to the QB position and they will suddenly all look like All-Stars. (See Cooper Kupp this year vs last year…)

You make good points. Fant is pretty much only a pass receiver, but he's a good one. Sutton hasn't done much, but he hasn't had a chance. Patrick has done the most this year, and he deserves a new contract. Albert O is racking up too many penalties.

The current coach, Vic Fangio, is a dead coach walking...he's "Mr. Defense" but the Broncos defense has been terrible, almost as bad as special teams. Fangio seems to barely look at the offense. They're 5-5 but most of the 5 wins were the bottom teams in the league.

This will be a historic off-season for the Broncos. They're about to dump all their coaches, then sell the team to parties unknown because the Bowlen heirs can't make peace among themselves. The only major figure to stay will be the GM who came in this year an has five more years on his contract.

A starting-caliber QB is at the top of their list. They know that neither Bridgewater or Lock are that guy. That's why I suggested trading for Minshew and benching Bridgewater. No free agent QB who is a top prospect would willingly set foot in Denver, but Minshew is at least as good as anyone on the Broncos roster! He beat out Flacco for #2 in Philly. If they can trade for him, he has no choice but to go to Denver. Then at the end of the year, they can dump deadwood and figure out if Minshew is their new #2 or #1. The draft is thin this year, so their best first round pick might not be a QB.

Haha, come on now. Flacco has been third string this year for the Jets of all teams! Flacco was always a statue, but now he can barely move his legs. He's only starting for that horrible franchise this week because White has been a disaster lately and Wilson is banged up. If Minshew is no better than Bridgewater---and I believe he is not--it doesn't make sense to trade an asset for him.

Honestly, there is no really good answer here. It's mostly meaningless who plays QB unless it's Zack Wilson.

The Jets never had a true back up QB this season. This season, and probably the next 2 seasons, are all about Zack Wilson. Whoever is playing back up is mostly irrelevant. You could make a few small points about starting one backup over another but let's be honest here. No one cares. You could argue that Mike White might develop into a mid-grade starter and possibly flip him for some draft capital. Maybe. The dude had one good game and has been a practice squad player since he was drafted in the 5th round in 2018. Most likely not going to happen. Maybe you win a few games against lower competition however even that is not likely. The NYJ are current underdogs against every team on their schedule. That includes 2 games against Miami and 1 against Houston.

Joe Flacco? Again, irrelevant how he plays as everyone at 1 New York Jets Drive and every fan knows Joe Flacco will not be on this team next season. He wasn't even on the team 2 weeks ago, the Jets traded a 6th round pick to the Eagles for him. He's an afterthought. The NYJ traded for him before Mike White played well and were sorta stuck with him. They're going with him now supposedly b/c of Miami's rush heavy D. That's the company line. Whatever.

Josh Johnson (3rd stringer QB) has actually put up the best stats this season in 3 quarters of relief of MW.

It's an emotional game. Dude can't celebrate? Gets called for taunting?

The taunting rule is infinitely more stupid than anything that Cam did after scoring that TD.

If the Broncos were smart, they would trade Drew Lock to the Eagles for Minshew, then bench Bridgewater and start Minshew. He would start a fire under the team and give us something to watch. I think he can be a starter. Remember he won five games with Jax in his first year as a rookie, and he had essentially no talent on that team other than one receiver and one running back.

No. Drew Lock is garbage, no one wants him. Minshew is much better than Lock. No way the Eagles would even make that trade. Additionally, Bridgewater is better than Minshew. So it makes no sense.

Rules are rules... and if I'm a coach, I fully expect my guys to recognize them. Last Sunday, Cam put on a display of how not to. The guy is as smart as a pencil.

I didn't play a position that scored when I played football (LG or LT), but when we did score, I got the heck off the field for the extra point team to get on and prepare for the kick. We high fived and celebrated the TD on the sidelines with the player who scored.
I wasn't big on trash talk, just never felt right to me. I would make sure to hit the big talkers on the other team a little harder, when appropriate, to help quiet them down.
Some guys were good trash talkers, and it'd make me laugh now and then, but too often it was just loud mouth 'look at me' guys which I didn't appreciate.

I think trash talk and grandstanding are stupid. I always admire the players who let their game speak for them. Like when a running back scores, hands the ball to the nearest kid in the stands, then trots to the sidelines. I saw Nick Chubb do that last season, and was mightily impressed. Kind of like if Tim Duncan played football.

I was a nose guard, and way undersized even by high school standards back then. I made noises, but no talking. I don't remember any talking on the field at all. It never seems to have occurred to any of us on either side to trash talk or taunt the other team. You would get flagged for spiking a football or doing a dance or anything like that. Spiking the ball also delayed the game since the football supply wasn't endless like it seems to be now.

Mac Jones did not disappoint tonight. I like him. New England is running the ball and playing shutdown defense, granted the last three games have been against opponents who aren't all that great, but those are two things you need to do to win playoff games.

This week's Cleveland-Detroit game won't tell us anything about Cleveland. It will pad Miles Garrett's sack statistics unless the coaches take him out for inflicting cruel and unusual punishment on Lion's fans.

Cardinals in Seattle is a bit of a crap shoot. I don't think Wilson is 100% healthy, and Murray certainly isn't. I think the Cardinals will win, but the Seahawks will be mostly competitive until they aren't.

Billy "White Shoes" Johnson's dance didn't bother me too much, although I still prefer the classy, "hand-the-ball-to-the-ref-and-act-like-you've-been-there-before" behavior.

What I really don't like is all that orchestrated garbage where the entire offense (or defense) rush to the end zone and do their schtick. And no, I don't think you're in the minority. I think I'M more in the minority than you. I've never liked show-boating in sports. Nothing wrong with high-fiving a teammate after they make a good play, but I can do without the "Look at ME!!!" stuff. But I'm old, so I guess some of you youngsters might be willing to give me a pass for my dinosaur ways...
