Maybe he can move across the state and take over for the Steelers next year.

Interesting thought! I'd love to see something like that. The Steelers are a great franchise, and they have to be watching closely to look for the best way to replace Big Ben. It would be a real change to add a mobile QB like the 'Stache.

For that matter, Denver now knows that neither Bridegwater or Lock are the answer, and the QB prospects in the draft aren't great. Perhaps they might go fishing in Philly...?

I didn't watch any football this weekend, as usual, but I saw highlights from the Seahawks-Niners game. It was an insane game, with way too many weird things to happen all in one game. A fake punt 70+ yard touchdown, an dropped pass that got kicked and intercepted, a safety, a stellar final drive by the Niners that failed at the goal line due to a couple pass defense plays. Endless turnovers by both sides. Did I miss anything? Sorry I missed it, although it seems to have been heart attack fodder all the way through.

I stopped watching games now and just watch the condensed highlights. They are usually 9-12 minutes in length and show me everything I need to know about the final score.
It's on demand, so no longer to I need to sacrifice 3-4 hours of my life to sit through 9-12 minutes of actual gameplay.
I get it though, some folks enjoy those 3-4 hours watching football. I even I did for the previous 49 years of my life. Priorities in my life have changed, so I am grateful for these on demand condensed games in this digital age.
Full disclosure: A buddy shares his Sunday Ticket subscription with me, so it is not something free that I know of. I log in after 9:00 PM PDT on Sundays and watch the games I care about.

You covered most of it, except the obvious blown end zone PI call on third down of that last drive. But nobody knows what’s PI or even a catch any more, and so it goes.

NYJ fan checking in here. You're correct. By almost every metric the NYJ defense is in the bottom 5. They are dead last in almost every single stat. In the one stat where they have showed some modicum of progress (# of penalties) it is somewhat nullified by the fact that half of the penalties lead to a 1st down which is good for a top 5 ranking. The Eagles scored on their first 7 possessions. They are also the youngest defense in the league so there is maybe potential? That's what I tell myself.

I actually like Minshew and think he can be a pretty good starter on a decent team. He seems like an affable dude. But yeah, torching the Jets D is not a challenge this season.

I'm getting me Irish arse handed to me at work this time of year, and have to attend student concerts most Monday nights. So like @MJ5150 , I watch highlights when I can, often on Sportscenter while working out in the mornings. I will not watch Get Up because I just can't stand Rex Ryan. But lately I have been able to watch the first half of most of the Sunday night games and the second half of the Monday night games, and I have enjoyed the experience. Tonight should be a good one for sure.

You're probably right. BUT, I have to admit I really think the Bills have potential, too.

Also, as much as I hated the Belichick/Brady show, I notice that it's the Bucs I really hate right now, which means I really mostly hated/am vomitously sick of Brady. So I will watch tonight without worrying about throwing up if the Pats win. I will no longer watch any game with Brady in it.

They would have the top spot in the AFC if they win. But I did notice that the Chiefs (currently tied with the Pats, Ravens, and Titans) have won 5 in a row.

Defense and a running game will win you Super Bowls. New England has both, so it's no surprise to me we see them sitting on top of the AFC.
I had to ask myself, how many guys would have tried to intercept that Josh Allen fourth down pass at the end. We saw on display how well coached the Patriot defense is and how in tune with the game Myles Bryant is to have sense enough to just knock that ball down. Why not try and pick it off and go 95 some yards for the game ending pick six? Because that's not how you win football games in that situation. Way to go Myles Bryant.
I'm jealous.

If there's a game on that I want to see, I record it. I don't check the scores while it's recording. Then I wait a couple hours and watch it. That way I can fast-forward through commercials. I also usually zip right from one play to the next without listening to the announcers banter between plays (unless there's something I want to get a better look at). I can zip through a game pretty quickly doing that.

I've seen a bunch of replays of that. I hear you, but also can't believe that Lamar couldn't place it any better than that. On the other hand, the TD pass that Chase bobbled and turned into an INT in the Cincy game turned the game, and is far less excusable; that pass was picture perfect. That's football...truly a game of inches!

I am a fan of Lamar and yes, poor placement ruined that one.
