Bills beaten in the trenches...AGAIN!. Much as I love Josh and Diggs etc., this team is going nowhere until the offensive line problems are addressed.
Unless you are the Browns. They have both of these and probably more talent in each than the Pats, and they even have the current coach of the year, but they don’t have the hoodie. Any more, I mean.
Injuries at QB are hurting the Saints. Winston is out (IR) and Hill is playing hurt. Siemian struggled in his starts. Not much of a passing game is hurting the offence. Defense looks OK, but the offence is playing poorly over all.
Trevor Lawrence has 12 games of NFL experience and he already knows more than Urban Meyer.

Pittsburgh stunk up the joint in the 1st half. They were down 29-0 at one point. Third quarter they started rolling and made it interesting. Ended up losing by 8 points. Had a chance to score a TD on the last play of the game, but Friermuth got hammered by two guys and couldn't hang on. Had he held on, a 2-point conversion could've tied it and sent it to OT. Coulda', woulda', shoulda'.
At one point, the announcers were reading some comments from fans about Tomlin's seat starting to get warm before they bounced back against the Ravens. I'm sure it was hotter yet at halftime of tonight's game. I guess he's almost untouchable, but at least some people are calling for a change. I won't hold my breath though...
It will blow my mind if Keith Butler continues to serve as the DC for the Steelers.
Then there is Cam Sutton. What a joke he is. One thing I remember was a sideline flash to Sutton sitting on the bench acting all surprised and dumbfounded he had been beat for that TD. Dude, they burned you like toast that entire drive and you're surprised they went after you again and you had zero coverage on the guy? I am quite certain my 50 year old behind could get behind Sutton and make a catch. How embarrassing.

Sutton was complaining that the receiver had pushed off. If so, it was very slight. He just got beat.
Bush's performance wasn't AS blatantly noticeable as prior games, but only because he usually showed up late to the party (tackles). Not as many "greased pig" missed tackles; but not much stellar play either. He DID get a fingertip on a pass once which caused the receiver not to be able to hold on.
For as talented as he is, it's all about him. He is NOT a good team player. Even when asked about wasting time celebrating the first down, he basically threw Trai Turner under the bus. Turner was pissed and tried to grab the ball from Claypool so the ref could set it up for the next play. Claypool blamed Turner instead of himself. No clue, and no self-examination...
Yep, Claypool is the latest iteration of Steeler WR diva. A little of that mentality rubbed off on him. I don't recall what they call it, 'boomin young money crew' or some crap like that.
Hopefully he leaves town soon and that's the last of it Pittsburgh has to deal with.
On the other hand, it sure would be nice for Tomlin to not allow it in the first place.

He made some really good catches last night. He has all the tools to be really good. Working hard and keeping your mouth shut doesn't seem to be in the Steeler receiver culture.
So was Mike Wallace, Emmanuel Sanders, Antonio Brown, and JuJu Schuster. Once Hines Ward retired, that was it for hard nosed play and keep your mouth shut Steelers WR's. It's opposite now.
I get it. The kind of football guys like you and I like to watch is no longer what the NFL is about. I don't care for this new NFL which is why I watch less and less and don't spend any money on NFL products or equipment.

I like the Seahawks receivers. They are that kind of hard nosed people. DK Metcalf gets a bit hot-headed at times, but he is tough as nails and works. Chasing down Buddah Baker the entire length of the field after an interception is exhibit one on that. Same with Lockett. Just before those two, Baldwin, Lockette, and Kearse were in the same tough mold and usually didn't do dumb things. Baldwin's dump in the end zone in the Super Bowl notwithstanding. That was really dumb.

He was very good at Georgia vs. great for the Steelers. That's why he wasn't drafted till the end of the 3rd round--what a steal!
