I agree with all of this, and Ross has been a failure--one playoff appearance and three winning seasons (two of them under Flores) since he bought the team 12 years ago. That said, the way Flores handled staffing was clearly flawed, and I really dislike the fact that he wanted Watson despite all his talk about high-character guys. Maybe with a better owner, the situation could have been salvaged. I'm certainly less optimistic about the team now.
So, my first time using NFL Red Zone. Had it all season. I don't think I can watch the NFL any other way now. Besides, it's just about the only way I get to see the Titans play here in Sacramento.
I can't believe I believe this enough to type it for the whole world to see, but I don't think it's a given KC beats Pittsburgh this weekend.

Yeah, yeah I get all that. I'm just saying, I think Pittsburgh can win. Not because this is a whacky NFL season and the 'any given Sunday' mumbo jumbo.

That would be nice, but I won't be holding my breath. Jacksonville beating the Colts just might make KC just a little sharper than they normally might be for this matchup. I'm figuring it'll be Pittsburgh's normal one-and-done...
Flores to interview for the Bears HC job. That defense with his coaching . . . I like their offensive nucleus as well. Stay tuned
As a Dolphin fan who likes Flores I wish him luck wherever he lands. One of the problems in Miami was he had a great defense and staff but he couldn't assemble a passable offensive staff. He changed his offensive coordinators every year, his offensive line coach 4 times. He needs some serious help with that side of the ball. But what Ultimately cost him his job was his abrasive attitude and treating just about everyone like dirt. On top of that he wanted more and more control over everything. What's crazy is he had final say over the 53 and Grier gave him anything he wanted or asked for personnel wise and he still wanted more control. It wasn't in the national press but the story about his attitude rubbing everyone in the building wrong had been reported locally for the last couple months. So when the reasons Ross gave for letting him go, although weird, was not a surprise. There is another popular myth floating around that Flores wanted Herbert on the draft. That is completely false because if he would have wanted Herbert over Tua, Grier would have picked him. The fact is all 3 were in agreement on Tua - Ross, Grier AND Flores. So it was a combination of things, the offensive staff problems and the fact that pretty much no one could take him in the building any longer wrote his ticket out the door. Being disrespectful to the owner wasn't helpful either. But like Ross said, it had nothing to do with performance and was really a matter of him not getting along with anyone.
Now I expect a head coach to want things his way and not be the most pleasant person when he is coaching his team but As silly as it sounds he really needs to improve his people skills.
Really hope he does well wherever his next stop is.

It's football. It's violent. It's not about being nice and friendly and making friends with everyone. Today's NFL is getting soft. 'I'm going to fire this coach since many people don't like him. No matter he is winning us games at a clip we haven't had for years. He isn't nice in the hallways'. What a shame.

And that's pretty much it In a nutshell. Crazy right? Believe me Don Shula was no nice guy, there's a story of him literally making one if the Blackwood brothers cry on the bench during a game - and those two were tough cats.
But then you get psychos like Saban that went ballistic when the wrong Little Debbie's were bought for him. Or the staffer that had the nerve to say hello to him and was promptly admonished for daring to speak to him by one of his lackeys. The one that takes the cake is the woman he fired for complimenting him on his haircut.
So being a hard Azz is one thing but being a complete nut job is something else.
Now that is going out on a limb! But I sure hope so, I'm not sure there is a team I hate more than the Cowboys. Not even the Jets! LOL
The Bills get screwed yet again by the NFL. What would already have been the coldest game of the weekend gets moved to 8:20pm...even colder. Not much wind to speak of but it don't take much when the temp. is around 0. I've been to a few of these kind of games. Wish I still lived close enough to attend. Big debate amongst Bills Mafia members on whether the new stadium should be domed or not. Anyway, Bills by 10+.
I get that but as a Dolphins fan I think you should stay away from a dome. That is a huge advantage for the Bills this time of year. The cold and the wind that comes thru that stadium is no joke. You guys go to a dome and you're gonna lose that. Miami early in the season dealing with the heat and humidity is big for us, the wind and cold late in the year is big for you.
